Abstract: This application discloses a NB-IoT-based communication method and an apparatus, to evolve a NB-IoT communication technology into an NTN. The method is as follows: A terminal device generates an uplink signal, including a superframe which includes a synchronization sequence located in first duration of the superframe and a data frame located in second duration which is after the first duration, the synchronization sequence successively includes a first sequence repeated Ni times and a second sequence repeated N2 times, the second sequence is obtained by multiplying the first sequence by −1, a part of consecutive sequences of the synchronization sequence are used as a first synchronization reference sequence that is obtained based on the second sequence repeated N2 times and one or more first sequences that are sorted from back to front in the first sequence repeated N1 times. The terminal device sends the uplink signal to a network device.

Abstract: This application provides an uplink signal synchronization method and a communication apparatus. A terminal device receives first indication information, where the first indication information indicates first duration, the first duration is validity duration of synchronization information, and the synchronization information is used for uplink signal synchronization. The terminal device performs the uplink signal synchronization based on second indication information within the first duration that is after reception of the second indication information, where the uplink signal synchronization includes time domain offset compensation and/or frequency domain offset compensation, and the second indication information indicates the synchronization information. This can improve communication reliability.

Abstract: A low density parity check (LDPC) channel encoding method is used in a wireless communications system. A communication device encodes an input bit sequence by using an LDPC matrix, to obtain an encoded bit sequence for transmission. The LDPC matrix is obtained based on a lifting factor Z and a base matrix. The base matrix may be one of eight exemplary designs. The encoding method can be used in various communications systems including fifth generation (5G) telecommunication systems, and can support various encoding requirements for information bit sequences with different code lengths.

Abstract: A bandwidth part switching method, is applicable to a non-terrestrial network (NTN) to implement BWP switching based on multi-color frequency-division multiplexing. In the method, a terminal device may report, in a second BWP to a network device, an index of a first SSB whose signal quality is greater than or equal to a first threshold in one or more SSBs in a first BWP, and switch from the second BWP to a third BWP. The one or more SSBs correspond to at least one BWP other than the first BWP, and the third BWP is in the at least one BWP and corresponds to the first SSB. After receiving the index of the first SSB in the second BWP, the network device determines the third BWP, and performs service data transmission with the terminal device in the third BWP.
