Abstract: According to the present invention, a user equipment (UE) receives a beam-formed paging message based on a feedback, which is transmitted by the UE to a network. The UE receives, in a first period, a paging indicator via multiple beams from a network node, and selects a beam from the multiple beams. Then, the UE transmits, in a second period, a feedback indicating the selected beam to the network node via the selected beam, and monitors, in a third period, the selected beam to acquire a paging message from the network node.

Abstract: A method by which a terminal performs cell measurement by selectively using reference signals (RSs) is provided. The terminal receives, from a network, a common RS (CRS) measurement configuration and a discovery RS (DRS) measurement configuration with respect to a frequency to be measured. If the network has configured a physical cell ID (PCID) list for CRS-based DRS measurement with respect to the frequency to be measured, DRS measurement is performed on cells included in the PCID list, and CRS measurement is performed on cells not included in the PCID list. If the network has not configured the PCID list for CRS-based DRS measurement with respect to the frequency to be measured, DRS measurement is performed on all cells belonging to the frequency to be measured.
