Abstract: A method for communicating with an access point by a station. The station receives a first signal including an indication of a plurality of channels. The first signal is received from an access point. The station modifies a counter value in in response to receiving the first signal. The station further compares the counter value to a threshold value and selects a channel of the plurality of channels in response to determining the counter value corresponds to the threshold value. The station determines whether the selected channel is busy or idle. The station modifies the counter value in in response to determining that the selected channel is busy. The station transmits a second signal using the selected channel in response to determining that the selected channel is idle.

Abstract: A system includes a stream parser, a multiplexer, and a plurality of transmission paths. The stream parser is configured to parse an input data stream for a packet into a plurality of spatial streams for transmission via a plurality of transmission paths over a plurality of wireless channels, respectively. The multiplexer is configured to multiplex data from the stream parser onto the plurality of transmission paths for each of the plurality of spatial streams. The plurality of transmission paths is configured to generate portions of the packet based on outputs of the multiplexer and to transmit the portions of the packet via the plurality of transmission paths over the plurality of wireless channels, respectively, using different carrier frequencies corresponding to different frequency bands for each of the portions of the packet.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide an apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus includes a transceiver and a processing circuit. The transceiver is configured to transmit and receive wireless signals. The processing circuit is configured to detect an error of a previous scheduled transmission of data units from the apparatus to another apparatus. The other apparatus provides scheduled resources for transmission between the two apparatuses. Further, the processing circuit is configured to determine resources that are scheduled by the other apparatus for the apparatus to perform retransmission, and provide one or more of the data units in the previous scheduled transmission to the transceiver for retransmission using the scheduled resources.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for performing contention based uplink (UL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA). The method may include receiving, from an access point using a channel, a first signal including an indication of a first time and a plurality of sub-channels of the channel. The method may include modifying a counter value in response to determining that the first time has been reached. The method may include selecting a sub-channel of the plurality of sub-channels in response to determining the counter value is equal to a threshold value. The method may include transmitting a second signal to the access point using the sub-channel. The methods and systems disclosed herein may be used by stations to associate with the access point.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes systems and methods for performing spatial reuse using the following techniques at access points and stations. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to spatial reuse of medium with a spatial reuse opportunity announcement provided to STAs by an AP, opportunistic directional sensing performed by STAs, and a channel access method with a new backoff procedure performed by the STAs. An AP may provision a spatial reuse opportunity announcement in a beacon interval, and STAs may perform opportunistic directional sensing based on the announcement and perform channel access after performing opportunistic directional sensing.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing multi-user transmissions across different segments of a transmission medium. A connection between a first access point and a plurality of stations is established; wherein a first station of the plurality of stations detects that a primary channel of communication between the first access point and the plurality of stations is being used for transmission by a second access point. The first access point allocates a transmission channel to the first station to communicate with the first access point. The first access point determines whether an acknowledgement from the first station is received. In response to determining that the acknowledgement has been received, the first access point allocates a resource unit to the first station using the transmission channel. In response to determining that the acknowledgement has not been received, the first access point reallocates the first station to a different transmission channel.

Abstract: A method for transmitting a resource request for an uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission is described. A High Throughput (HT) Control field that includes buffer information corresponding to media access control (MAC) protocol data units (MPDUs) that are queued for transmission by a first communication device is generated by the first communication device. The buffer information indicates a number of bytes for the MPDUs that are queued for transmission. A resource request MPDU that includes the HT Control field is generated by the first communication device. The resource request MPDU is transmitted by the first communication device to a second communication device via a wireless communication channel to request an allocation of radio resources for the UL MU transmission by the second communication device.

Abstract: A first communication determines, for a null data packet (NDP) ranging measurement procedure, i) a start time, ii) a time duration of each time slot of a plurality of time slots, and iii) a time interval between adjacent time slots. The first communication device generates one or more packets that include: i) an indication of the start time, ii) an indication of the time duration, and iii) an indication of the time interval, and transmits the one or more packets to multiple second communication devices prior to the NDP ranging measurement procedure. During the NDP ranging measurement procedure, the first communication device transmits a downlink NDP transmission to a group of second communication devices, and receives an uplink multi-user NDP transmission from the group of second communication devices.

Abstract: A method for identifying association identifiers (AIDs) for multiple basic service sets (BSSs) supported by a first communication device is described. A reference identifier that indicates a fixed mapping of AIDs to BSS identifiers (BSSIDs) in a multiple-BSSID set is identified by a first communication device. The multiple-BSSID set includes BSSIDs of a first and second BSS. A management frame that includes a maximum BSSID indicator that indicates a maximum size of the multiple-BSSID set, the reference identifier, and a transmitter address of the management frame is generated for a receiver of the management frame to derive a first AID corresponding to the first BSS and a second AID corresponding to the second BSS based on the maximum BSSID indicator, the reference identifier, and the transmitter address. The management frame is transmitted to at least one second communication device associated with one of the first BSS and the second BSS.
