    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting a reference signal, the method of a terminal according to the present invention comprising: receiving, through a higher layer signaling, configuration information including first information indicating one of a first demodulation reference signal (DMRS)-related table and a second DMRS-related table; receiving control information including second information on DMRS information; analyzing, based on the second information, a DMRS-related table indicated by the first information; and receiving a DMRS based on the result of the analysis.

    Abstract: A method and system for resource allocation is provided. A method includes identifying a set of resource blocks associated with a control channel for a terminal; transmitting, to the terminal, information on the set of resource blocks on a radio resource control signal, the information including first information indicating resource blocks included in the set of resource blocks and second information indicating a number of symbols corresponding to the set of resource blocks; transmitting, to the terminal, control information including information for downlink data on the control channel identified based on the first information and the second information; and transmitting, to the terminal, the downlink data on a data channel based on the control information. The set of resource blocks includes at least one control channel resource. A search space for the control channel of the terminal is defined based on an aggregation level, a number of the at least one control channel resource, and a number of a candidate associated with the control channel.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for measurement reference signals and synchronization signals. A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor operably connected to the transceiver. The transceiver is configured to receive a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), and a primary broadcast channel (PBCH). The processor is configured to decode cell identification information from at least the PSS and the SSS and to decode a master information block (MIB) from the PBCH. The PSS, the SSS, and the PBCH are time-division multiplexed. A same set of sequences are used for the PSS and the SSS for different carrier frequencies and different sub-carrier spacing values.

A feedback method of a terminal (1200) in a mobile communication system includes acquiring reference antenna port information for at least one Reference Signal (RS), receiving the at least one Reference Signal (RS) from a base station (1300), estimating at least one channel carrying the at least one Reference Signal (RS), and transmitting feedback information on at least one estimated channel to the base station (1200).
