A method is disclosed for use with at least one initial document describing a technical concept suitable for licensing, the method comprising: retrieving a set of intellectual property documents from a data warehouse; partitioning the set of intellectual property documents into a plurality of document categories; classifying the set of intellectual property documents by an industry parameter; constructing a contingency table that includes a listing of industry classifications for each of the document categories, and identifying documents within a particular one of the document categories that have different industry classifications so as to identify at least one potential new licensee industry of the technical concept described in the initial document.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a field of communication technology, and more particularly to a communication system, a label switched router, a network device, a method for handing over a route, and a method for notifying a state of advertising a label so as to improve an accuracy occasion for handing over a route. A liberal LSP between an upstream LSR and a downstream LSR is established; it is confirmed that establishing the liberal LSP is accomplished; a handover notification is sent to the upstream LSR; and the upstream LSR hands over the route according to the handover notification. By adopting such technical solution, the accuracy occasion for handing over the route is improved so as to avoid label forwarding interruption, and reduce the influences on the convergence time of handing over the route.

A method for identifying emerging concepts in unstructured text streams comprises: selecting a subset V of documents from a set U of documents; generating at least one Boolean combination of terms that partitions the set U into a plurality of categories that represent a generalized, statistically based model of the selected subset V wherein the categories are disjoint inasmuch as each document of U is included in only one category of the partition; and generating a descriptive label for each of the disjoint categories from the Boolean combination of terms for that category.

A method and an apparatus for concomitance scheduling a work thread and assistant threads associated with the work thread in a multi-threading processor system. The method includes: searching one or more assistant threads associated with the running of the work thread when preparing to run/schedule the work thread; running the one or more assistant threads that are searched; and running the work thread after all of the one or more assistant threads associated with the running of the work thread have run.

A wireless communication technique enables fast Fourier transforms (FFTs) and inverse fast Fourier transforms (IFFTs) to be performed with reduced latency and reduced memory requirements. In particular, an FFT/IFFT unit receives input data representative of a communication symbol. The FFT/IFFT unit applies an FFT operation to the input data to generate intermediate data. The FFT/IFFT unit stores the intermediate data in a random access memory (RAM). The intermediate data stored in the RAM may override data used as input to the FFT operation. The FFT/IFFT unit selectively addresses the RAM to retrieve the intermediate data in a desired output order. For example, the FFT/IFFT unit may output the intermediate data in the same sequential order as the FFT/IFFT unit received the input data.

A memory power supply circuit configured for supplying power to two types of memories slots of a motherboard includes a slot detecting terminal configured to connect with a detecting pin of the motherboard which is used to detect the memory slots, an electrical switch element, a first resistor, a second resistor, a third resistor, and a voltage output terminal connected to power input pins of the two types of memories slots. The second resistor and third resistor are connected in series between a first power supply and ground. The slot detecting terminal is connected to a first terminal of the electrical switch element. A second terminal of the electrical switch element is grounded. A third terminal of the electrical switch element is connected to the voltage output terminal via the first resistor and connected to a node between the second and third resistors.

Consumer-generated media (CGM) and/or other media are monitored to allow an organization to become aware of, and respond to, issues that may affect how it is perceived by the public. An extract, transform, load (ETL) engine is used to process CGM and other media content, and an analytical engine utilizes a multi-step progressive filtering approach to identify those documents that are most relevant. The filtering approach includes executing broad queries to extract relevant content from different CGM and other sources, extracting text snippets from the relevant content and performing de-duplication, defining organizational identity (e.g., brand name, trade name, or company name) and hot-topic models using a rule-based and statistical-based approach, and using the models together in an orthogonal filtering approach to effectively generate alerts and reports. The methodology is found to be substantially more effective compared to a conventional keyword based approach.

Method and system for switching a network application operating in a first communication mode to a second mode within a wireless local area network, comprising: judging whether mobile nodes are neighboring according to location information; when nodes are neighboring inquiring whether mobile nodes want to switch to second mode to run network applications; when all mobile nodes agree to switch to second mode, downloading and installing network application provided by the application server to one of the mobile nodes; configuring each of the mobile nodes with the communication parameters under the second mode; and switching all mobile nodes to the second communication mode to continue the previous network application. The invention dynamically switches between Infrastructure mode and Ad-hoc mode to balance system resources, improve QoS, reduce the communication traffic, waiting time and the cost of the users, and increase the income of the provider of the network service.

Packetized video data with a base-layer and at least one enhancement-layer organized in a GOP structure may contain packet loss errors. A method for detecting such errors comprises the steps of reading header information relating to a layer, generating a scheme or selecting a predefined scheme according to said header information, the scheme comprising display order number, number of reference frames and temporal level for the frames of the respective layer, extracting from received video data frames display order number, number of reference frames and temporal level parameters, and detecting that one or more frames or packets are missing, wherein the received parameters are compared with the parameters of expected frames according to said scheme and a missing packet or frame is determined by a mismatch between received and expected parameters.
Abstract:
A method of data loading for large information warehouses includes performing checkpointing concurrently with data loading into an information warehouse, the checkpointing ensuring consistency among multiple tables; and recovering from a failure in the data loading using the checkpointing. A method is also disclosed for performing versioning concurrently with data loading into an information warehouse. The versioning method enables processing undo and redo operations of the data loading between a later version and a previous version. Data load failure recovery is performed without starting a data load from the beginning but rather from a latest checkpoint for data loading at an information warehouse level using a checkpoint process characterized by a state transition diagram having a multiplicity of states; and tracking state transitions among the states using a system state table.
