Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulating housing, receptacle terminals, and a shield shell covering the insulating housing. The receptacle terminals, arranged in a row and disposed on the insulating housing, sequentially include a first ground terminal, a first power terminal, two first differential signal terminals, a second power terminal, and a second ground terminal. The electrical receptacle connector is capable of receiving an electrical plug connector to be inserted therein in either upside-up or upside-down directions. The electrical plug connector includes upper-row plug terminals and lower-row plug terminals arranged in 2-fold rotational symmetry. Therefore, the electrical receptacle connector using the single-row receptacle terminals and the electrical plug connector using the corresponding double-row plug terminals compose a new type of USB Type-C connectors.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, a plurality of first receptacle terminals, a plurality of second receptacle terminals, and a rear cover plate. The insulated housing is received in the receiving cavity. The first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals are respectively disposed at an upper portion and a lower portion of the insulated housing. The rear cover plate includes a baffle plate and a connecting portion formed at one of two sides of the baffle plate and connected to the rear of the metallic shell. The rear cover plate is closeable and openable, so that the soldering condition between the first receptacle terminals and contacts of a circuit board can be checked when the rear cover plate is opened.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a mount member, a tongue, first terminals, second terminals, and a shielding plate. The mount member and the tongue are received in a metallic shell. The terminals and the shielding plate are on the mount member and the tongue. The tongue includes terminal grooves and recesses. The terminal grooves are formed on a first surface of the tongue. Each of the recesses is recessed toward a tip of the tongue from an inner sidewall in the corresponding terminal groove. Flat contact portions of the first terminals are held in the terminal grooves. End portions of the flat contact portions are received in the recesses. Therefore, upon the tongue is deflected, the flat contact portions are constrainted in the recesses and not detached from the tongue, thereby improving stability and reliability in the contact with an electrical plug connector.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulator and a blanking contact set. The insulator includes a tongue portion and an insulator rear end. The blanking contact set includes a plurality of blanking contacts. At least one of the blanking contacts includes a connecting portion, a contacting portion, and a soldering portion. The connecting portion is combined with the insulator. The contacting portion extends from the connecting portion toward the tongue portion and stretches out of a first surface of the tongue portion. The soldering portion extends from the connecting portion toward the insulator rear end and stretches out of the insulator rear end. A central axis of the contacting portion is spaced from a central axis of the soldering portion by an offset. The connecting portion connects the contacting portion and the soldering portion.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, a plurality of first receptacle terminals, and a plurality of second receptacle terminals. The insulated housing received in the metallic shell is assembled with the first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals. The tail portion of the power terminal of the second receptacle terminals is adjacent to and combined with the tail portion of the power terminal of the first receptacle terminals. The tail portion of the ground terminal of the second receptacle terminals is adjacent to and combined with the tail portion of the ground terminal of the first receptacle terminals. The combined tail portions can be inserted into the same soldering hole of a circuit board. Therefore, the cost and time for the soldering procedure of the connector manufacturing can be reduced.

Abstract: An electrical plug connector and an electrical receptacle connector adapted to be mated with the electrical plug connector are provided. The electrical receptacle connector includes an insulated housing integrally formed as a whole and a plurality of receptacle terminals. Based on a supporting arm of a first side arm of the receptacle terminal, when the plug terminal is abutted against the first side arm, the supporting arm is abutted against an abutting surface of the electrical receptacle connector for supporting the first side arm and improving the structural strength of the first side arm. Therefore, the first side arm can be prevented from being deformed or broken. In addition, based on a supporting segment of a second side arm of the receptacle terminal, the flexibility of second side arm can be improved and the structural strength of the second side arm can be enhanced.
