    Abstract: Various embodiments describe methods, systems, and devices for client-driven dynamic server-side configuration validation. Exemplary implementations may include validating client device configuration data, updating a client device shadow with the validated client device configuration data, in which the client device shadow includes a schema in a client device-agnostic language, and translating client device configuration data of the client device shadow from the client device-agnostic language to a client device-specific language. Also, receiving the client device configuration data from a computing device over a communication network, and sending the client device configuration data of the client device shadow in the client device-specific language to a client device via a communication network. Further, translating a client device schema from the client device-specific language to the client device-agnostic language, identifying differences in the client device schema from the schema of the client device shadow, and updating the client device shadow with the differences.

    Abstract: Dynamic data rate selection in wireless networks is described. The includes sending, by a wireless controller to a base station, an access point power-data rate table. The base station updates a base station power-data rate table with the access point power-data rate table based on checking defined thresholds, confirms the validity of the updated base station power-data rate table by receiving measurements from a user device responsive to communications using the updated base station power-data rate table, reverts to a previous base station power-data rate table if the measurements indicate that the updated base station power-data rate table is not correct, and sends to the wireless controller one of the updated base station power-data rate table or the previous base station power-data rate table. The wireless controller updates the access point power-data rate table and sends the updated access point power-data rate table to an access point.

    Abstract: According to one configuration, a wireless access service provider selects and assigns a particular authentication option amongst multiple different authentication options to an entity such as a wireless access point or a sub-network supported by the wireless access point. When a communication device attempts to use the corresponding wireless access point provided by the wireless access service provider, a wireless access gateway receives information from the wireless access point indicating the particular authentication option assigned to authenticate the communication device. The wireless access gateway communicates the notification of the particular authentication option to an authentication manager, which provides the wireless access gateway with network address information indicating a captive portal in which to authenticate the communication device. The wireless access gateway then uses the network address information to redirect the communication device to the captive portal, which is then used to authenticate the communication device. to access the Internet.

    Abstract: Obtaining location metadata for network devices using augmented reality (AR) is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an AR computing device receives first user inputs indicating boundary points of a device region, and determines first spatial coordinates for each boundary point. The AR computing device next receives a second user input that indicates a network device within the device region, and determines second spatial coordinates for the network device. The AR computing device may also correlate the network device with a known connected network device. The AR computing device then transmits, to a server computing device, first metadata that includes the first spatial coordinates and an identifier of the device region, and second metadata that includes the second spatial coordinates and an identifier of the indicated network device. In some embodiments, the metadata may be employed, e.g., to generate a floorplan visualization and/or a signal strength map of the device region.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for determining and adjusting subcarrier spacing (SCS) to be used by a base station, e.g., a CBSD, for transmitting downlink data to one or more wireless devices, e.g., UEs, are described. A subcarrier spacing (SCS) level to be used by the base station is determined based on information relating to buffering of downlink data supplied to the base station via a cable, e.g., data accumulation rate (DAR) and/or average data arrival time (ADAT). Measured cable modem (CM) to base station latency is also used in the SCS determination. The amount of time for which a determined SCS level is to be used by the base station is set based on measured latency between a CMTS and the CM.
