Abstract: A method and apparatus for discarding data among associated transmission buffers in a wireless communication system is provided. A wireless device generates a first data packet and a second data packet, and performs a random access (RA) procedure based on the first data packet. When the RA procedure based on the first data packet fails, the wireless device discards the first data packet, and continues the RA procedure based on the second data packet. A media access control (MAC) layer indicates a radio resource control (RRC) layer that the RA procedure based on the second data packet is performed.

Abstract: A method for monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a discontinuous reception (DRX) related timer by a user equipment (UE) configured not to transmit a Hybrid Automatic Repeat and request (HARQ) feedback for the DL HARQ process in a wireless communication system is disclosed. Especially, when the UE processes the data block, a timer for monitoring subsequent PDCCHs related to retransmission of the DL HARQ process is started without transmitting the HARQ feedback upon a first Physical downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) for the DL HARQ process is detected. Then, while the timer is running, the UE monitors subsequent PDCCHs related to retransmission of the DL HARQ process. Further, when decoding of DL data related to the second PDCCH successes, the timer is stopped and monitoring subsequent PDCCHs for the DL HARQ process is skipped.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) determines whether a size of data available for transmission in a PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) entity of the UE, excluding a size of a PDCP Control PDU (Protocol Data Unit), exceeds a threshold value. Here, the PDCP Control PDU is predetermined to be transmitted through the first link of the bearer. The PDCP entity of the UE informs an indication on (a) the size of the data available for transmission, or (b) the size of the PDCP Control PDU, to a first entity of the UE for the first link based on the determination, and the first entity can transmit a buffer status report to the network based on the indication. Here, the size of the data available for transmission in the PDCP includes the size of the PDCP Data PDU and the size of the PDCP Control PDU.

The UE performs a new transmission of the MAC PDU using the first UL grant. The MAC PDU contains data from a logical channel of which every numerology belongs to the numerology set.
