Abstract:
An interior lighting system for a motor vehicle includes a lighting device configured to light a motor vehicle interior and a control unit configured to regulate the brightness and/or the color of the light emitted from the lighting device. The color of the light emitted from the lighting device may be automatically adjusted in accordance with at least one operating parameter and/or at least one parameter associated with the environment of the motor vehicle. Such parameters include, for example, a deviation of an actual temperature from a predetermined desired temperature of the motor vehicle interior and/or the driving speed of the vehicle.
Abstract:
Multilayer plastic composites containing at least two incompatible plastics, A and B, in which the layering sequence alternates between A and B, the layers of plastic B are discontinued at regular intervals, and the resulting gaps in the layers are filled in with plastic A, exhibit good adhesion between the layers. In preferred embodiments of the invention, the amorphous, crystalline, or semi-crystalline plastic B has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than the amorphous plastic A. The plastic composite is preferably produced via coextrusion.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a coating composition, a method of coating molded articles with the coating composition, and the molded articles so coated, particularly molded articles of thermoplastic or thermoelastic polymers. The coating, in the form of a cured thin layer, is particularly clear, scratch resistant, and weather-resistant. It is produced on the plastic substrate material by polymerization of a layer of flowable coating comprised of the coating composition, which layer is essentially comprised of monomers comprised of polyfunctional (meth)acrylic compounds. The coating is distinguished by good anti-soiling and anti-graffiti characteristics. These characteristics are brought about by the co-use of polymerizable (meth)acrylic compounds which contain fluorinated alkyl groups and which have the formula where R1 represents H or CH3; A represents an alkylene group with 2-6 carbon atoms; R2 represents H or an alkyl group with 1-4 carbon atoms; and R3 represents a fluorine-containing alkyl group with 2-20 carbon atoms.

Abstract:
In the production of resist images by application of a radiation-sensitive positive-working resist layer based on degradable polymers onto a substrate, imagewise exposure of the resist layer to actinic radiation and removal of the irradiated parts of the layer with development of the resist image, the radiation-sensitive resist layer used is composed of poly(diacetylenes), in particular soluble ones. Preferably, the radiation-sensitive resist layer based on the poly(diacetylenes) contains sensitizers which can be activated by actinic radiation and which, after being activated, induce or accelerate molecular degradation of the poly(diacetylenes). Dry film resists comprise a temporary dimensionally stable base and a radiation-sensitive resist layer which is applied on the base, can be degraded by exposure to actinic radiation and is based on poly(diacetylenes), in particular soluble ones, with or without a cover sheet on top of the said resist layer.
