Abstract:
Methods, systems and devices for the creation, management and retirement of a carbon-linked security within a distributed ledger system. In an example, a method for administering at least one carbon-linked security product includes receiving a carbon footprint associated with an issuer and a confirmation of a deposit of an underlying security associated with the issuer, calculating a carbon offset amount from a ratio derived from at least the carbon footprint or an issuance of the underlying security, linking the carbon offset amount to the underlying security to create at least one carbon-linked security product, receiving a notification of a corporate action by the issuer, determining that the corporate action has an impact on the ratio, and automatically updating, based on the corporate action and the determining, the carbon offset amount in the distributed ledger.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a circuit module (10) having a circuit carrier (12), at least one circuit (14) mounted on the circuit carrier (12), encapsulated by a protective material (16), and at least one electrical/electronic component (18) encapsulated by a protective coating (20), protecting the at least one electrical/electronic component (18) from the protective material (16), and to a method for producing the circuit module (10). According to the invention, the protective coating (20) protecting the at least one electrical/electronic component (18) is only partially encapsulated by the protective material (16).
Abstract:
A protective device for protecting the fingers of a user from cuts while hair threading is presented. The protective device has a guard configured to overlie at least a portion of a finger of a user. The thread for hair threading is wrapped around a portion of the guard so that the thread does not directly come into contact with the skin. The guard has an attachment member configured to maintain the thread in the desired position relative to the finger of the user.
Abstract:
A firearm silencer for suppressing sound intensity generated by the discharge of a firearm, the discharge generating propellant gases, is disclosed. The firearm silencer includes an outer tube. The outer tube is generally hollow and generally cylindrical. The firearm silencer also includes a monolithic baffle stack inserted within the outer tube, and the monolithic baffle stack positions and constrains the outer tube coaxially and axially at a first and second end of the outer tube relative to a first and second end of the monolithic baffle stack using seals and retention seals, with such seals also providing an atmospheric sealing function. The monolithic baffle stack includes a first end that includes a first hole. The monolithic baffle stack also includes a second end that includes a second hole. The second end is located opposite the first end of the monolithic baffle stack. The monolithic baffle stack further includes a plurality of chambers in fluid communication with each other via a plurality of holes and annular void. The monolithic baffle stack also includes a plurality of recesses in fluid communication with the plurality of chambers via a plurality of through holes and annular void. The monolithic baffle stack also further includes plurality of protrusions and plurality of lands within the plurality of chambers where said lands and plurality of holes in chambers form an equivalent cylindrical bore dimension. Moreover, the firearm silencer includes a path extending from the first hole adjacent the first end of the monolithic baffle stack through the first hole adjacent the second end of the monolithic baffle stack. The plurality of chambers, the plurality of recesses, the plurality of through holes, the plurality of protrusions, the plurality of lands, the annular void, and the path are configured to allow propellant gases to travel there through.
Abstract:
A surgical instrument includes a housing supporting first and second actuators, an elongated shaft extending distally from the housing, and an end effector supported by a distal portion of the elongated shaft. A tensile member extending through the elongated shaft is coupled to the first actuator and the end effector such that first actuator may be manipulated to induce motion of the end effector. A locking mechanism associated with the tensile member selectively impedes motion of the end effector. The locking mechanism includes a collet disposed about the tensile member and a collet clamp for receiving the collet. Receipt of the collet into the collet clamp induces radial compression of the collet to impede the motion of the tensile member therethrough. An actuation member extending through the elongated shaft induces insertion and withdrawal of the collet from the collet clamp.
Abstract:
A pressure-measuring device for recording a pressure in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having a force transmission body, situated in a housing, which is exposed to the combustion chamber and which transmits the combustion chamber pressure to a pressure-measuring unit at least indirectly by an axial motion, and having a flexible diaphragm, which is situated between the force transmission body and the housing. The flexible diaphragm is configured to be resilient to implement the axial motion of the force transmission body within the housing. A flexible additional diaphragm is connected ahead of the flexible diaphragm on the combustion chamber side, which seals the flexible diaphragm from the combustion chamber.
Abstract:
A sensor arrangement for a vehicle has a sensor unit and a cable arrangement, wherein the sensor unit comprises a main support and an electronics part which is connected to the main support and has a sensor element, wherein the cable arrangement, which comprises at least one individual wire, can make electrical contact with the electronics part by means of at least one contact-making means. The main support is designed as an open housing which has at least one insertion opening for accommodating the at least one contact-making means and an accommodation pocket for at least partially accommodating the electronics parts, wherein an elastic cap with means for fastening the sensor unit in the vehicle is provided, it being possible for said elastic cap to be pushed at least partially over the main support, and said elastic cap closing off the accommodation pocket in a sealed manner.
Abstract:
A device is provided for the distribution of flowable additives in exhaust gas systems of an internal combustion engine, in particular for the distribution of a water/urea mixture in an exhaust gas system of a diesel engine, having an injection device in particular opening into the exhaust tract before a so-called SRC catalytic converter, with a swirl generation device being provided for the improvement of the mixing of the exhaust gas with the additive in the introduction region of the additive in the exhaust tract.
Abstract:
A method for the continuous production of panel elements for the production of composite shuttering elements, of which each panel element has a shuttering panel of predetermined geometry with predetermined length. The shuttering panel is provided with fastening devices and reinforcement elements. According to the method a plurality of standard panels are lined-up abutting along their longitudinal edges against each other and being joined and glued together with the application of a pressing force. A panel band is created from the glued-together standard panels. Individual longitudinal portions are successively separated from the panel band, resulting in individual panels. The individual panels are successively cut to form the respectively individually predetermined geometries of the respective shuttering panel and are then successively provided with the fastening devices and then with the reinforcement elements.
