    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber provided in an air flow path. The cyclone chamber has a screen assembly with an outlet section, a longitudinally spaced apart distal section and a longitudinally extending porous section. The outlet section includes a non-porous member extending longitudinally inwardly an outlet section length from an outlet end of the outlet section to a longitudinally inwardly positioned inlet end of the outlet section. The outlet end of the outlet section overlies a cyclone air outlet. The porous section extends longitudinally inwardly from an outlet end of the porous section that is located at the inlet end of the outlet section. The inlet end of the outlet section has a width in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction that is greater than a width of the outlet end of the porous section in the transverse direction.

    Abstract: A turbo brush for cleaning a surface comprises a housing having an upper surface, a lower surface, a front end and a rear end, the lower end having a dirty air inlet. A primary air flow path extends from the dirty air inlet to a dirty air outlet. A rotary brush is associated with the dirty air inlet and extends transverse to a forward direction of movement of the turbo brush. A drive mechanism comprises an air driven turbine, a drive gear drivingly connected to the rotary brush and a worm gear directly drivingly connecting the air driven turbine and the drive gear.

    Abstract: An all in the head surface cleaning apparatus may include a surface cleaning head having an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and a brush motor drivingly connected to a moveable brushing member and the brush motor may have a brush motor axis. The surface cleaning head may include a cyclone comprising a cyclone chamber and a dirt collection chamber external to the cyclone chamber. The cyclone may have a longitudinal cyclone axis. The surface cleaning head may have a suction motor having a first end, a second end and a suction motor axis extending between the first and second ends. The suction, cyclone and brush motor axes may be generally parallel. The cyclone chamber may have an air outlet end that is opposed to and faces an air inlet end of the suction motor.
