    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for half-duplex frequency division duplexing (HD-FDD) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) operation are described. The base station may receive a message from a user equipment (UE) indicative of a duplexing capability of the UE. The base station may then select a HARQ process limit based on the duplexing capability. In some examples, the base station may anticipate a collision between an uplink (UL) transmission and a downlink (DL) subframe based on the selected HARQ process limit. The base station may then schedule a transmission to avoid the anticipated collision. In some examples, the base station may limit a number of configurations available for channel quality indicator (CQI) or a precoding matrix indicator (PMI).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for direct current (DC) subcarrier handling for narrowband user equipment (UE). A UE may identify a narrow bandwidth region allocated for operation within a wide bandwidth carrier, determine that the narrow bandwidth region is centered about a different frequency than a center subcarrier of the wide bandwidth carrier, and, accordingly, select an operating mode. Various operating modes may include down-converting a carrier frequency of the allocated narrow bandwidth region. A base station may support narrowband UE operation by determining that the narrow bandwidth region is centered about a different frequency than a center subcarrier of the wide bandwidth carrier and rate matching subcarriers of the narrow bandwidth region around tones of a center frequency of the narrow bandwidth region.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to configuration of a single sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set for a UE that includes SRS resources associated with multiple, different transmission and reception points (TRPs). A radio access network (RAN) entity, which may be associated with one or more of the TRPs, may configure an SRS configuration for the SRS resource set and transmit the SRS configuration to the UE. The UE may then transmit a plurality of SRS(s) to the multiple TRPs in accordance with the SRS configuration. Other aspects, features, and examples are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a network entity may output, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, a first control message identifying a first discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle and a second, different DRX cycle for the UE to use, the first and second DRX cycles having a first and second active duration, respectively. The network entity may also output a second control message identifying periodic resources for the UE to use to monitor for a periodic signal, the periodic resources being outside at least the first active duration. The UE may monitor for, and the network entity may output, based on the periodic resources being outside the first active duration, the periodic signal during the first active duration based on updating the first active duration, updating the periodic resources, or both.

The UE may receive, from a base station, a configuration of one or more RS resources of an RS resource set.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for reference signal sequence detection by a user equipment (UE). The reference signal sequence may indicate one or more control channel candidates that are to be monitored for control information transmissions to the UE. A base station may transmit control information with a set of parameters for two or more reference signal sequences that are each associated different subsets of decoding candidates within a search space occasion. The UE may monitor the search space occasion and detect a first reference signal sequence and may identify a first subset of the two or more subsets of control channel candidate locations for a blind decoding procedure based on the detection of the first reference signal sequence.
