Abstract:
A dual sided opening roof mount cargo box for a carrying vehicle includes a lid portion releasably hinge-connected at two lateral sides to a bottom portion of the cargo box for alternate pivotation at each of the two lateral sides between open and closed configurations. A spring-biased strut is operatively interposed between the lid portion and the bottom portion of the cargo box and located at an end region of the cargo box. The spring-biased strut includes two arms operatively interconnected for pivotation relative to one another and a biasing spring operatively interposed therebetween. The spring-biased strut is configured to control an assisting force to have a substantially zero magnitude when the lid portion is in the closed configuration.
Abstract:
An actuator for moving a movable furniture part includes at least one movably mounted actuating member for moving the movable furniture part, a spring device for applying a force to the actuating member, and a setting device by which a force of the spring device that acts on the actuating member can be set. The setting device has a threaded portion and a screw nut mounted adjustably between two end positions, and the force of the spring device acting on the actuating member can be set by adjusting the screw nut along the threaded portion. At least one supporting element is provided which relieves the screw nut in at least one of the two end positions of the force of the spring device.
Abstract:
A cooking appliance includes an outer cabinet within which is provided an oven cavity which can be selectively accessed by movement of a door mounted through a door linkage system which enables the door to be shifted between opened and closed positions through either sliding or tilting movements. In particular, the door can be automatically or manually shifted between open and closed positions, through either the sliding or tilting motions. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, the door can be automatically opened at the end of a process or cooking cycle, or manually opened.
Abstract:
An apparatus for closing a locker, which can be lowered, of a baggage compartment, in particular of an overhead baggage compartment in an aircraft, wherein the locker is connected in an actuating element (5) which is held on a frame (1) such that it can rotate or pivot, and is connected to a gas compression spring (18) in order to assist a closing movement of the locker. In order to allow a completely automatic closing movement, the invention proposes that an electromechanical hybrid drive is provided in order to drive the actuating element (5) and, in addition to the mechanical component of the gas compression spring (18), has an electrical drive apparatus (12) as an electrical component.
Abstract:
A four bar hinge for mounting a door on an enclosure, the hinge including a first mounting bracket adapted to secure the hinge to the enclosure, a second mounting bracket adapted to secure the hinge to the door, a first link rotationally connected to the first mounting bracket at a first location and rotationally connected to the second mounting bracket at a second location, a second link rotationally connected to the first mounting bracket at a third location and rotationally connected to the second mounting bracket at a fourth location, a first shield fixedly connected at the second and the fourth locations and a second shield slidably connected to the first link and rotationally connected at the third location, wherein throughout an entire range of motion of the first mounting bracket relative to the second mounting bracket at least a portion of one of the first or second shields overlaps at least a portion of the other of the first and second shields whereby access to a volume formed between the first and second links is precluded.
Abstract:
An apparatus including a frame forming an internal cavity, the frame having an opening for accessing the internal cavity, a first door and a second door mounted to the frame and a door coupling mechanism for effecting a substantially simultaneous movement of the first door and second door relative to the frame, the door coupling mechanism including a first door link, a second door link and at least one ternary link, the first door link being rotatably coupled to the first door and the at least one ternary link, the second door being rotatably coupled to the second door and the at least one ternary link.
Abstract:
The hinge structure for a furniture with a foldable shelf (1) reversibly turnable downwards from a closing position of the furniture to a substantially horizontal opening position comprises a first and a second rocker arm (2, 3) hinged at their ends by means of a first, second, third and fourth pin (4, 5, 6, 7) to a first plate (8) able to be fixed to a stationary portion (9) of the furniture and to a second plate (10) able to be fixed to the shelf (1), first decelerating means (11) mainly of the final portion of the opening stroke of the shelf (1) independently from second decelerating means (12) mainly of the initial portion of the opening stroke of the shelf (1).

Abstract:
A lifting device is provided for a two-leaf folding flap whose upper leaf is hinged to a top wall or partition wall of a carcass around a horizontal first axis and whose lower leaf is pivotally connected to the upper leaf around a second axis parallel to the first axis. The lifting device has at least one two-armed lever which is pivotally mounted to a side carcass part around a horizontal pivot axis and whose longer arm is hingedly connected to the lower leaf, and at least one hinge arm which hingedly connects the leaves and is respectively fastened in hinge cups arranged in the leaves. The hinge arm is adjustable with respect to a hinge cup via a first eccentric device in one direction and via a second eccentric device in another direction perpendicular to the first direction.
