    Abstract: A piston type hydro pneumatic accumulator with internal leak detection, having a gas chamber and a liquid chamber, the piston type hydro pneumatic accumulator comprising a cylindrical barrel, a floating piston, a gas end cover, a liquid end cover, a leakage detection construction having a first cylindrical channel reducing to a conical channel and further reducing to a second cylindrical channel, a floater device, the gas end cover and the liquid end cover hermetically disposed into the cylindrical barrel, a first pressure meter disposed so as to measure a pressure in the first cylindrical channel and a second pressure meter disposed so as to measure the pressure in the second cylindrical channel, the readings in the two pressure meters used for inferring a gas leakage or a liquid leakage. Also deployable a first pressure switch sensing a pressure P1 and a second pressure switch sensing a pressure P2, the output of the first pressure switch and the second pressure switch connected to a programmable logic controller, programmed so as to activate a liquid circuit for topping up of the liquid if P1>P2, activate a gas circuit for re-charging of gas if P1=P2≠0, produce a visual and or an audio signal or a combination thereof, or initiate any other corrective action.

    Abstract: A potential energy store has a hydraulic cylinder in which a piston for storing energy in the form of potential energy of the piston is arranged. A position of the piston relative to the earth's surface can be varied. A pump pumps hydraulic fluid via lines into the hydraulic cylinder such that the piston is raised. A generator converts hydraulic energy of hydraulic fluid, which is displaced out of the hydraulic cylinder as the piston falls, into electricity. A seal arrangement is at least partially arranged between the hydraulic cylinder and the piston. The seal arrangement has a sealing section with a flexible support structure for absorbing the acting forces. The support structure may be coated on one or both sides with a layer which is impervious to fluid and which seals against the passage of fluid or may be impregnated with a solidified material which is impervious to fluid.

    Abstract: A hydraulic servo-control of a servo-controlled gearbox comprises hydraulic actuators defining chambers, a storing tank containing control fluid used by the actuators at room pressure, a hydraulic accumulator containing control fluid under pressure, a motor pump drawing the fluid from the tank and feeding it under pressure to the accumulator and solenoid valves selectively connecting the chambers to the tank and accumulator. The accumulator includes an outer housing, a piston arranged and axially slidable and mobile inside the housing and defining there a first variable-volume chamber for a gas and second variable-volume chamber for the fluid under pressure, and a limit stopper arranged at an open end of the housing, acting as a striker for the piston, and having an annular circlip and a perforated plate operatively interposed between the circlip and piston.
