Abstract:
A method for calculating an average capability for each of a plurality of agents includes obtaining call completion data for each agent. The call completion data is used to calculate a historical average for each agent. The historical average is used to calculate an average capability for each agent.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for gender identification of a cell-phone subscriber. There are two main steps: constructing a general model of female and male calling behaviour from a set of variables obtained for each subscriber; and classifying an individual calling behaviour of a subscriber comparing it with the general model. The method includes the step of constructing the general model comprises obtaining a set of data, that may be obtained from calling detail records, that are saved at a database every time a subscriber makes or receives a phone call; computing a set of variables using a set of instances from subscribers who their gender is already known; and applying an algorithm which generates groups labelled as male or female behaviour. Finally, in the step of classifying, the gender of the subscriber is identified by assigning to the subscriber the label of the closest group.
Abstract:
A method of call control in which a first communications network, detecting calls directed to a destination in the first network; redirects at least some of the calls to a destination in a second network (e.g. on no answer from the destination in the first network). The first communications network obtains from a client on a terminal associated with the destination in the second network a value for the time delay before a call to the destination in the second network is redirected in the second network on no answer to an alternative destination and sets a delay period to a value less than the value of the time delay obtained from the client. When one of the plurality of calls redirected to the second network is not answered in the second network within the delay period, the first communications network redirects the call to an alternative destination associated with the first network.
Abstract:
The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for automatically displaying customized call center operating statistics based on user profile information. According to one aspect, a method for automatically displaying customized call center operating statistics based on user profile information is provided. The method includes receiving user profile information associated with a user, wherein the user profile information uniquely identifies the user seeking access to customized call center operating statistics. Customized call center operating statistics to be displayed are automatically determined based on the user profile information. The customized call center operating statistics are then displayed to the user.
Abstract:
Management of call center call routing is provided. Service calls directed to a call center may be monitored according to a variety of parameters such as associated line of business, date, time, and call volume. Calls directed to an internal call center may be routed to an alternate call center for processing as required or needed by the provider of the internal call center. For each type of incoming service call, a maximum call count or percentage-based call count may be established to facilitate efficient routing of service calls to the internal call center or to an alternate call center to ensure that no more than a specified number of calls are routed to a given call center. Real time and summary reporting may be generated to allow call center management personnel to monitor and manage service call routing to one or more internal and/or alternate call centers.
Abstract:
A processing apparatus, including: a query statistics unit which inputs a query request for querying a destination for first telephone number, and counts the number of input query requests; and a restriction control unit which transmits to a restriction control apparatus which performs outgoing call restriction, a restriction request to restrict a telephone call by second telephone number, when the counted number of the query requests is equal to or greater than a restriction start threshold, wherein the telephone call by the second telephone number is restricted by transmission of the restriction request, and a telephone call by the first telephone number is performed.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the invention includes a method for detecting fraudulent use in a conference calling system. One or more access parameters are received, wherein the access parameters include an authorized day of week parameter, an authorized time of day parameter, and/or an authorized location parameter. One or more requests to access the conference calling system are received, wherein each request includes a user passcode and one or more request parameters. A processor determines whether the request parameters match the access parameters. Access to the conference calling system is granted when the request parameters match the access parameters; however, the processor performs actions when a request parameter does not match an access parameter.
Abstract:
Devices, systems, and methods are directed towards ranking of messages based on a hop distance a forwarded message travels through a social network. As a message is forwarded by a member of the social network the hop distance increases. As the message is forwarded, recipients and/or senders may view the hop distance in real-time. The hop distance may reflect a number of times the message is forwarded to reach a recipient, or the maximum number of times the message is forwarded. The message may be displayed to a member in a rank ordering based on the hop distance, and messages with hop distances below a defined value may be deleted from a displayed list after a period of time. In one embodiment, a message may be forwarded anonymously to, for example, encourage members to forward the message.
Abstract:
A tone signal received in a telecommunications network is bandpass filtered based on an identified type of the received tone signal, providing a bandpass filtered tone signal. The tone signal is also bandstop filtered based on the identified type of the received tone signal, providing a bandstop filtered tone signal. The bandpass filtered tone signal and the bandstop filtered tone signal are analysed and the received tone signal is quantified based on the analysis result.
Abstract:
In one method and apparatus for blocking unwanted calls in a callback system, parameters associated with a callback request (e.g., the user device to which the call is to be directed, the IP address from which the request originated or an identifier of the source computer from which the callback request originated, the party from whom the call is requested) are tracked for each call. A decision to automatically block the requested callback is made based on one or more criteria based on a combination of these parameters, which may be a total over a period of time. In a second method, one or both of the parties to the callback is queried as to whether the callback is unwanted and, if so, one or more parameters associated with the request are blacklisted.
