    摘要: A sheet pile wall is formed in the ground by excavating a first well and then excavating a second well spaced at a distance from the first well. The ground panel between the wells is then excavated to form a trench by using an excavating apparatus which is fitted with tubular guiding elements which are guided by the walls of the first and second wells. A prefabricated wall element having an arched center part is placed in the trench. The prefabricated wall element has edges which have meandering side faces. The edges of the wall element are brought into sealing contact with the walls of the trench, after which the first well is filled with concrete with the side face of the edge of the wall element serving as a shuttering to form a supporting nose engaging the side face.

The joint elements preferably form an "H" nested within two, opposed "J" shapes. Six exemplary embodiments are disclosed, some single wall and some double walled. The gasket lips typically emanate out from the ends of the "U" shape, but one embodiment (501) has the lips extending out from the sides of the "U" (FIG. 10 ).

    摘要: A method and apparatus for making a slurry trench or wall in the soil, comprising driving a beam section into the ground by pile driving, and simultaneously and entirely filling up the trench formed by soil displacement with a supporting fluid. The beam sectional is subsequently pulled out of the soil with a vibrating movement, which is obtained by delivering blows to the beam at a suitable frequency. During this extraction movement, sufficient supporting fluid is supplied for filling up the volume occupied by the beam. The soil displacement portion at the under-side of the beam, in cross section, has a box section with apertured side walls. The box section is shut off at the under-side by a permanent pile shoe or by hinged flaps, so that during extraction of the beam out of the soil, the interior of the box section communicates with the trench formed underneath the flaps or the pile shoe, said trench being thereby filled with supporting fluid.

    摘要: Improvement on the method and apparatus for forming reinforced concrete walls with continuous steel reinforcements is disclosed in Veder U.S. Pat. No. 3,310,952. The process includes the forming of a plurality of concrete panels, each panel having a reinforcing cage extending to proximate the joint between the concrete panels and one or more expansible joint reinforcing cages bridging the gap between the reinforcing cages in the adjoining panels. The expansible joint reinforcing cages are carried in carriers in an end stop pipe. Each expansible joint reinforcing cage is comprised of a vertical support bar having secured thereto a plurality of horizontally extending concrete anchor members rigidly secured to one surface of the vertical support bar. A plurality of reinforcing bar members are pivotally coupled to the vertical support bar member and an operating rod member or channel member is coupled to the opposite ends of the these reinforcing bar members and shifts them from a substantially vertical position to a substantially horizontal position after the stop pipe has been removed and the next succeeding panel excavation performed. The vertical orientation of these reinforcing bar members as well as their operating member assures that they will be removed from the area of excavation of the next succeeding and adjacent panel section and, at the same time, by virtue of the concrete anchor members they are rigidly and securely anchored in the preceding concrete panel element. In a preferred embodiment, the vertical bar member is a channel member and the operating rod member is a similar channel member.

    摘要: Apparatus for shoring a structure such as a foundation, comprising a support bracket engageable with the foundation, a pile adapted to be driven down into the ground adjacent the bracket, and at least one footing structure on the outside of the pile extending circumferentially of the pile in a plane generally at right angles to the central longitudinal axis of the pile. The footing structure has an outer diameter greater than the outer diameter of the pile for engagement with the soil as the pile is driven down thereby to increase the load-bearing capacity of the pile. A mechanism is provided for securing the pile to the bracket after the pile and the footing structure thereon have been driven to a depth sufficient to shore the foundation. A shoring method is also disclosed.

    摘要: A method for installing thin-walled sealing elements in the fabrication of slotted walls in the soil. The thin-walled sealing elements are plastic foils with vertical connecting elements at the vertical edges. A connecting slot is flushed out between a newly made slotted-wall section and the interior of the adjacent slotted connecting tube of the previously installed sealing element. The slot and the interior of the connecting tube are filled with a support suspension. Then a new sealing element is threaded through the filled connecting slot into the previously installed connecting tube.
