Abstract: A steering wheel for a vehicle may include a frame, a foam layer, a decorative member, a switch assembly and a contact element. The frame may include a central hub, a rim, and a spoke extending between the central hub and the rim. The foam layer may encase at least a portion of the frame. The decorative member may be mounted to the frame and may be at least partially formed of an electrically conductive material. The switch assembly may be mounted to the decorative member. The contact element may extend from the decorative member and may contact the frame to electrically connect the electrically conductive material of the decorative member with the frame.

Abstract: An airbag unit and method for folding up a driver's airbag, which has an insertion opening for a gas generator and, after activation of the gas generator, is unfolded away therefrom in the direction of a user. Abstract: A side airbag device is provided, which is capable of increasing an energy absorption amount while suppressing the load on an occupant. The side airbag device includes: a bag-shaped cushion; an inflator provided on a vehicle rear side inside the cushion; an inner tube that surrounds the inflator; an upper opening and a lower opening formed in the inner tube; a tether that extends toward a vehicle front side from the inner tube to partition the vehicle front side of the inside of the cushion into a chest restraining portion and a waist restraining portion; a void portion provided inside the cushion on the vehicle front side of the tether; and a vent hole formed near the void portion. The upper opening has a smaller opening area than the lower opening, and the tether is inclined downward toward the vehicle front side from the vehicle rear side.

Longitudinal both ends 108b and 108c of the second baffle are joined to an outer peripheral edge of the side airbag 103.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle braking arrangement for a vehicle with wheels contacting the ground during normal running. The vehicle braking arrangement includes an emergency brake control unit, a first emergency braking system including non-reversible braking means arranged to operate independently of the vehicle wheels, at least one acceleration detector, and a wheel brake anti-locking system. The emergency brake control unit is arranged to input acceleration data (a) when the wheel brake anti-locking system is active, and to calculate the coefficient of friction (μ) between the wheels and the ground.
