Abstract:
An ice making apparatus for a refrigerator, in which an ice bank stores ice and has an opening that discharges ice on its one side. An ejector opens and closes the opening and is rotatably provided at the opening to also eject ice from the ice bank. After completion of an ice discharging operation, a sensor senses a relative position of the ejector against the ice bank and the ejector is controlled to close the opening to the extent necessary.
Abstract:
Provided are methods of forming a semiconductor device, the method including: forming an insulation region on a substrate region, and an active region on the insulation region; patterning the active region to form an active line pattern; forming a gate pattern to surround an upper portion and lateral portions of the active line pattern; separating the gate pattern into a plurality of sub-gate regions, and separating the active line pattern into a plurality of sub-active regions, in order to form a plurality of memory cells that are each formed of the sub-active region and the sub-gate region and that are separated from one another; and forming first and second impurity doping regions along both edges of the sub-active regions included in each of the plurality of the memory cells, wherein the forming of the first and second impurity doping regions comprises doping lateral portions of the sub-active regions via a space between the memory cells.
Abstract:
Semiconductor devices and semiconductor device manufacturing methods. The semiconductor device manufacturing methods may form a memory cell having a silicon on insulator (SOI) structure only in one or more localized regions of a bulk semiconductor substrate by use selective etching. Accordingly, a different bias voltage may be applied to a peripheral device than to a memory cell having the SOI structure.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a separating plate of solid oxide fuel cell stack. The separating plate of solid oxide fuel cell stack includes a substrate, upper and lower micro channel plates and upper and lower sealing guides. The substrate includes a fuel inflow/outflow manifold and an air inflow/outflow manifold disposed opposing to each other in a diagonal direction, a fuel channel having a pair of horizontal channels and an inclined channel connecting ends of the horizontal channels so as to connect the fuel inflow/outflow manifold, and an air channel having a pair of vertical channels and an inclined channel connecting ends of the vertical channels so as to connect the air inflow/outflow manifold. The upper and lower micro channel plates are attached to upper and lower parts of the substrate and includes a plurality of micro channels so as to distribute uniformly fuel flowing in the fuel channel and air flowing in the air channel. The upper and lower sealing guides keep a constant gap with the upper and lower micro channel plates and are attached to the upper and lower parts of the substrate.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for configuring sharing of an Internet connection at first and second devices. A program for configuring the Internet connection is transmitted from the first device to a second device via a cable. The program is stored in the first device. Messages are exchanged between the first device and the second device, via the cable, for configuration of network interfaces of the first device and the second device, after the second device executes the program. Network interfaces of the first device and the second device are configured in accordance with the program and the messages exchanged between the first device and the second device. The Internet connection of at least one of the first device and the second device is shared based on the configured network interfaces.

Abstract:
A laundry machine, more particularly, a dryer is disclosed. A dryer includes a cabinet, a drum in which a drying object is held, a steam generation device to supply steam to the drum, a water supply device to supply water to the steam generation device in order to generate steam, an additive holding part in which an additive is held, and an additive supply device to supply the additive held in the additive holding part to the drum.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a dishwasher. A dishwasher includes a washing tub in which dishes are placed, a steam generator that generates steam and a nozzle part in which a flow direction of the steam is diverted at least one time to allow the steam exhausted to the washing tub.
Abstract:
An image display system and a display method thereof are provided. The image display system includes an optical disc having image information thereon, an image display device having extended display identification data (EDID), and a reproduction device to analyze the EDID to determine an interface to connect with the image display device, if the image information is three-dimensional (3D) image information, and instruct the image display device to output an alarm text, if the interface is an analog. When the interface is an analog interface, the reproduction device may output an analog two-dimensional (2D) image or 3D image through the image display device. Even when the image display device and the reproduction device are interconnected via an analog interfaces, a 2D or 3D image may be output based on the 3D image information.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an ice maker for a refrigerator. The ice maker is further provided with an ice making evaporator in addition to an evaporator for cooling a refrigerating chamber of a freezing chamber, and the ice making evaporator is sunk in water to generate ice, thereby quickly creating transparent ice. The ice maker can also be disposed in the refrigerating chamber or a refrigerating chamber door, thus to prevent ice from being formed with air bubble remaining in water, resulting in enhancing transparency of ice. In addition, even if the ice maker is disposed in the refrigerating chamber door, cold air is not needed to be induced from the freezing chamber, which allows independent operations of the freezing chamber and the ice maker, thereby increasing energy efficiency.
