    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first device to perform sidelink communication. In one embodiment, the first device has a periodic sidelink resource reservation, wherein the periodic sidelink resource reservation comprises, reserves, or provides one set of sidelink resources in one period. The first device also has one or more sidelink logical channels with available sidelink data, wherein the one or more sidelink logical channels are associated with one or more destinations. Furthermore, the first device selects or determines a first destination, among the one or more destinations, satisfying at least a condition that an initial sidelink resource of the one set of sidelink resources is within sidelink active time associated with the first destination. In addition, the first device generates a first data packet for the first destination. Also, the first device performs one or more sidelink transmissions on the one set of sidelink resources to the first destination, wherein the one or more sidelink transmissions includes, delivers, or comprises the first data packet.

    Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for a User Equipment (UE) to configure sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) for sidelink groupcast communication associated with a group are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE applying a sidelink DRX configuration for the sidelink groupcast communication associated with the group, wherein the sidelink DRX configuration comprises at least one of an on-duration timer length used for determining an on-duration for each sidelink DRX cycle and/or a cycle length used for determining a length of each sidelink DRX cycle. The method further includes the UE deriving or determining a time to start of on-duration for each sidelink DRX cycle or start of each sidelink DRX cycle based on at least an identifier associated with the group. The method also includes the UE monitoring a sidelink control channel, associated with the group, based on the sidelink DRX configuration and the time to start of on-duration for each sidelink DRX cycle or start of each sidelink DRX cycle.

    Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for a User Equipment (UE) to sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) for sidelink groupcast communication associated with a group. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE assuming or considering a sidelink DRX configuration applied for the sidelink groupcast communication associated with the group, wherein the sidelink DRX configuration comprises at least one of an on-duration timer length used for determining an on-duration at the beginning of each sidelink DRX cycle and/or a cycle length used for determining a length of each sidelink DRX cycle.     Abstract: In an example, a UE receives, from a network, a configuration of a sidelink resource pool. Physical Sidelink Feedback Channel (PSFCH) resources of the sidelink resource pool are configured, periodically with a period of N slots, in slots of the sidelink resource pool. The UE receives, from the network, a configuration with a set of time offsets for determining an association set. The UE determines one or more slots. Each slot of the one or more slots is in the association set and contains a PSFCH resource of the sidelink resource pool. The UE generates a sidelink Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) codebook based upon one or more occasions associated with one or more PSFCH resources of the sidelink resource pool. The one or more occasions is determined or derived based upon the one or more slots and the period of N slots.

    Abstract: Control structures and techniques for transmission time interval (TTI) shortening in wireless communication systems are provided. Exemplary techniques can comprise establishing a UE device connection to a base station having a first TTI, wherein the UE device is configured to employ TTI shortening and has a second TTI different from the first TTI and monitoring a first short physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) region for a scheduled downlink (DL) transmission via the second TTI, wherein a time distribution associated with multiple second TTIs within the first TTI is determined based on a control format indicator (CFI) value indicated via the first TTI. Exemplary techniques can further comprise receiving a DL transmission via the second TTI and transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) (HARQ-ACK) feedback on an associated UL channel for HARQ-ACK feedback, wherein for a number of DL transmissions via the second TTI within one of the first TTI on the associated DL, a number of associated UL channels for HARQ-ACK feedback occur within the same one of the first TTI on the associated UL. Further control structures and techniques for TTI shortening for wireless communication systems are described.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first device for performing sidelink communication. In one embodiment, the first device includes a MAC CE in a MAC PDU, wherein if the MAC PDU comprises the MAC CE without data, SL HARQ feedback is disabled for the MAC PDU. The first device further includes sidelink data associated with a first sidelink logical channel in the MAC PDU, wherein the first sidelink logical channel is configured to enable sidelink HARQ feedback. The first device also sets or indicates enable SL HARQ feedback for the MAC PDU in a SCI, wherein the SCI schedules a sidelink transmission delivering the MAC PDU. Furthermore, the first device transmits the SCI and performs the sidelink transmission to a second device.
