A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a network node. In one embodiment, the method includes the network node configuring a UE (User Equipment) with a first DRB (Data Radio Bearer), wherein the first DRB is configured with a presence of SDAP (Service Data Adaptation Control) header and the network node is not allowed to reconfigure the first DRB with an absence of SDAP header before the first DRB is released. The method further includes the network node configuring the UE to serve a first QoS (Quality of Service) flow and a second QoS flow by the first DRB. The method also includes re-configuring the UE to serve the first QoS flow by a second DRB, which was originally served by the first DRB, if the second QoS flow is released or removed from the first DRB, wherein the second DRB is configured with an absence of SDAP header.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for triggering radio bearer release by a relay UE in a wireless communication system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes the relay UE connects with an eNB. The method also includes the relay UE establishes a PDN connection for supporting traffic relaying. The method further includes the relay UE establishes a layer-2 link with a remote UE. In addition, the method includes the relay UE creates a radio bearer between the relay UE and the eNB for forwarding data packets between the remote UE and a PDN corresponding to the PDN connection. Furthermore, the method includes the relay UE sends a NAS message to the eNB if a failure of the layer-2 link is detected. And the method includes the relay UE receives a RRC message indicating release of the radio bearer in response to transmission of the NAS message from the eNB.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are disclosed for switching communication interface in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes a UE using a first interface to transmit data for a service. The method also includes the UE receiving an information from a base station for indicating that the first interface is not allowed to transmit data for the service. The method further includes the UE transmitting a request to the base station for using a second interface in response to the reception of the information.

A method and apparatus for supporting UE-to-Network relay based on device to device service in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes that a first UE is configured with at least a first set of logical channel(s) and a second set of logical channel(s). The method further includes the first UE transmitting a transport block (TB) including at least a Medium Access Control (MAC) subheader, which is including at least a LCID field to set a specific value, and a MAC Service Data Unit (SDU) to a base station, wherein the MAC subheader is used to indicate a logical channel which is associated with the MAC SDU belonging to the first set of logical channel(s) or the second set of logical channel(s).
