Abstract: A building management system includes an entity database and an identity management service. The entity database stores a plurality of interconnected smart entities. The smart entities include object entities representing a plurality of people or physical devices and data entities representing data associated with the people or physical devices. The smart entities are interconnected by relational objects indicating relationships between the object entities and the data entities. Each of the object entities includes a plurality of stored identity attributes. The identity management service is configured to receive a first identity attribute from a first device within a building, receive a second identity attribute from a second device within the building, compare the first and second identity attributes to the stored identity attributes of an object entity of the plurality of interconnected smart entities, and allow access to at least one of a building space, a device of building equipment, or a computer system in response to the first and second identity attributes matching the stored identity attributes of the object entity.

Abstract: One or more non-transitory computer readable media contain program instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors to: receive first raw data including one or more first data points generated by a first object of a plurality of objects associated with one or more buildings; generate first input timeseries according to the one or more data points; access a database of interconnected smart entities, the smart entities including object entities representing each of the plurality of objects and data entities representing stored data, the smart entities being interconnected by relational objects indicating relationships between the smart entities; identify a first object entity representing the first object from a first identifier in the first input timeseries; identify a first data entity from a first relational object indicating a relationship between the first object entity and the first data entity; and store the first input timeseries in the first data entity.

Abstract: An access control system (ACS) for a building includes an access reader, a camera, and an access controller. The access reader is configured to read an access credential provided by a person at an access point and generate ACS data including the access credential. The camera is configured to capture facial recognition system (FRS) data including an image of the person at the access point. The access controller is configured to determine whether the access credential is valid based on the ACS data, determine whether the person is recognized based on the FRS data, grant or deny access to the person through the access point based on whether the access credential is valid and whether the person is recognized, and generate and store one or more of a plurality of access events. Each of the access events corresponds to a different combination of whether the access credential is valid and whether the person is recognized.

Abstract: A building campus with an integrated smart environment can provide frictionless access control and device management services among other benefits. A method for providing frictionless access control includes maintaining a directory of individuals associated with the building, receiving identity information related to an individual seeking authorization to enter an access point in the building from at least one access control device, identifying the individual by comparing the identity information to the directory, identifying a user device associated with the individual using the directory, sending an authorization request to the user device, and authorizing the individual to enter the access point upon completion of the authorization request. A system for providing device management services includes registering devices from different manufacturers to a directory and authorizing one or more users to access and monitor parameters associated with each device.

Abstract: A model predictive maintenance (MPM) system for building equipment includes an operational cost predictor configured to predict a cost of operating the building equipment over a duration of an optimization period, a maintenance cost predictor configured to predict a cost of performing maintenance on the building equipment over the duration of the optimization period, and an objective function optimizer configured to optimize an objective function to predict a total cost associated with the building equipment over the duration of the optimization period. The objective function includes the predicted cost of operating the building equipment and the predicted cost of performing maintenance on the building equipment. The MPM system includes an equipment controller configured to operate the building equipment to affect a variable state or condition in a building in accordance with values of one or more decision variables obtained by optimizing the objective function.
