    Abstract: Method and apparatus to updated PUCCH parameters in response to channel conditions. The apparatus transmits, to a UE, a configuration to update one or more PUCCH parameters. The apparatus identifies a change of channel conditions between the UE and the base station. The apparatus transmits, to the UE, an indication to update the one or more PUCCH parameters based at least on the change of the channel conditions. The apparatus communicates, with the UE, based on a PUCCH having the one or more PUCCH parameters updated.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network node may transmit a control message identifying a configuration for a physical layer channel that is dedicated to carrying beam management information for communications with a user equipment (UE). The network node may transmit an indication of beam management parameters to one or more UEs via the physical layer channel that is dedicated to carrying beam management information. The UE may perform a beam management procedure using the one or more beam management parameters, such as identifying one or more beams for communications with the network node. The UE and the network node may communicate uplink signaling, downlink signaling, or both using the identified one or more beams.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitting device may determine a power amplifier operating mode associated with non-linear distortion of an input waveform for a power amplifier, where the power amplifier operating mode may be from a set of two or more power amplifier operating modes each associated with respective amounts of the non-linear distortion. The transmitting device may transmit a set of reference signals associated with estimation of a wireless channel for a transmission, and the transmitting device may further transmit an additional set of reference signals associated with non-linear distortion mitigation for the transmission. In some examples, a resource density of the additional set of reference signals may be based on the power amplifier operating mode. In some examples, the transmitting device may transmit an indication of the power amplifier operating mode, the resource density, or both, to a receiving device.

    Abstract: In a wireless network, a frame structure may include a padding duration at the start of every half subframe to ensure that an integer number of symbols fit within a duration of the half subframe. In some aspects, to avoid wasting time domain resources, the padding duration may be utilized for other purposes. For example, because a single carrier waveform is not bound to a fixed Fast Fourier Transform size, a wireless node may use the padding duration to transmit a single carrier symbol that has a shorter length than a full symbol associated with a subcarrier spacing. Additionally, or alternatively, in cases where a wireless node is configured to transmit or receive a signal in a first symbol of a half subframe that is associated with a different power level than a preceding symbol, the padding duration may be used to adapt a transmit power or a receive gain.

In some systems, a base station may configure a set of transmission parts each including different sets of time domain resources or different sets of frequency domain resources, or both, and may specify a waveform type for each of the set of transmission parts.
