    摘要: A display device has pixels, signal lines coupled to the pixels, and a video signal drive circuit for supplying signals to the signal lines in parallel, based upon data transferred serially from an external system. The video signal drive circuit includes plural stages each formed by a column of switching elements. The switching elements of each stage double successively in number as a final stage is approached. Each of the switching elements of each stage excluding the final stage is connected to a pair of switching elements in a succeeding stage. Each of the pair of switching elements is repeatedly and alternately switched ON with the other of the pair of switching elements being switched OFF, and a frequency of the ON-OFF switching of the pair of switching elements of each stage is successively halved as the final stage is approached.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to an apparatus for assembling a uniform-speed joint having an inner rotary body and an outer rotary body which transmits a rotational force from one to the other through a plurality of small spheres disposed in receiving holes in the outer peripheral surface of the inner rotary body. The apparatus comprises a carrying member for carrying the outer rotary bodies such that the inner surface of the rotary body is oriented upward and guide members, including a first guide wall, a second guide wall and a pusher for pushing an inner rotary body along the first guide wall until it contacts the second guide wall. The apparatus also comprises a first press fitting member for press fitting two small spheres into diametrically opposed receiving holes in the inner body and clamping members for clamping the inner rotary body, orienting the axis of the inner rotary member perpendicular to the axis of said outer rotary member on the carrying member and inserting the inner rotary member into the outer rotary member. Correcting members are provided for orienting the inner rotary body with respect to the outer rotary body such that the axis of the inner rotary body coincides with the axis of the outer rotary body. The apparatus further comprises swing members for rotating the inner rotary body in the outer rotary body such that at least one of the receiving holes is above the top edge of the outer rotary body and second press fitting members for pressing the small spheres into the receiving holes above the top edge of the outer rotary body.

    摘要: A liquid crystal lens is provided on a liquid crystal display panel. Electrodes extending vertically to a plane of drawing are provided on an upper substrate of the liquid crystal lens at predetermined intervals. No electrodes are provided on a lower substrate. An initial alignment of liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal lens is vertically directed with respect to the plane of the drawing. A voltage applied to the upper substrate electrodes generates a transverse electric field to rotate the liquid crystal molecules. Polarization light emitted from the liquid crystal display panel is vertically directed to the plane of the drawing, which generates a refractive index distribution of the polarization light in a liquid crystal layer to form a convex lens within the liquid crystal lens. This lens allows first and second pixels to be recognized by right and left eyes to allow a three-dimensional display.
