Abstract: An apparatus used in a UE includes processing circuitry and memory. To configure the UE for operating in an unlicensed spectrum in a 5G NR system at a carrier frequency of above 52.6 GHz, the processing circuitry is configured to perform a CCA procedure to assess occupancy of a communication channel in the unlicensed spectrum. A reservation signal is encoded for transmission on the communication channel when the CCA procedure is successful. The reservation signal occupies a time interval between completion of the CCA procedure and a starting symbol of an uplink transmission opportunity. Data PUSCH is encoded for transmission to a base station during the transmission opportunity and following the transmission of the reservation signal.

Abstract: An apparatus configured to be employed in a user equipment (UE) associated with a new radio (NR) communication system is disclosed. The apparatus comprises one or more processors configured to process a beam reporting configuration signal received from a gNodeB associated therewith. In some embodiments, the beam reporting configuration signal comprises a measurement quantity information on one or more measurement quantities to be reported by the UE to the gNodeB during beam reporting, for a set of beams associated with the gNodeB, wherein the one or more measurement quantities comprises layer 1 signal to interference plus noise ratio (L1-SINR), or both L1-SINR and L1 reference signal receive power (RSRP). In some embodiments, the beam reporting configuration signal further comprises a reference signal information on a reference signal to be utilized by the UE for measuring the one or more measurement quantities for the set of beams associated with the gNodeB.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured for physical uplink control channel (PUSCH) repetition in an fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR) network decodes a downlink control information (DCI) format that includes a scheduling grant for a PUSCH transmission. For a codebook-based PUSCH transmission, the DCI format indicates at least a first and a second transmit precoder matrix indicator (TPMI) index for PUSCH repetition. The UE may apply a precoder matrix determined from the first TPMI index to encode a PUSCH for a first PUSCH transmission occasion of the PUSCH repetition and may apply a precoder matrix determined from the second TPMI index to encode the PUSCH for a second PUSCH transmission occasion. For a non-codebook-based PUSCH transmission, the DCI format indicates at least a first and a second sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) for PUSCH repetition. The UE may apply the first SRI to encode the PUSCH for the first PUSCH transmission occasion and may apply the second SRI to encode the PUSCH for the second PUSCH transmission occasion.

Abstract: A generation node B (gNB) for a fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR) or a sixth-generation (6G) network is configured for slot-less operation at frequencies above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency. The gNB may generate signalling to configure a user equipment (UE) with a gap between demodulation reference signal (DMRS) symbols for an associated physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The gNB may also encode the DMRS symbols for transmission in accordance with the gap and may encode the associated PDSCH for transmission during the gap between the DMRS symbol transmissions at symbol times following the DMRS symbols.

Abstract: A generation Node B (gNB) configured for operating in a fifth generation (5G) system encodes a downlink control information (DCI) for transmission to a user equipment (UE). For slot-less operation the DCI may indicate a set of values for a data channel scheduling gap and hybrid automatic repeat request—acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) timing. The set of values may be defined for a symbol group including one or more symbols. The gNB may encode the data channel for transmission based on the one or more values. The data channel may be transmitted on the symbol group with slot-less operation and using a subframe or frame for reference timing.

Abstract: User equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry, where to configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications in an unlicensed spectrum, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling including configuration information identifying a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) search space set. The configuration information includes a PDCCH monitoring periodicity, a PDCCH monitoring offset, and a PDCCH monitoring duration associated with the PDCCH search space set. The PDCCH search space set is monitored for downlink control information (DCI) using the PDCCH monitoring periodicity, the PDCCH monitoring offset, and the PDCCH monitoring duration. Upon detecting the DCI within the monitored PDCCH search space set, a DCI format within the DCI is decoded.

The UE can be configured to identify, at the UE, an interrupted transmission (INT) indicator from the control information in the first active BWP. The UE can be configured to determine, at the UE, a location of an INT indicator for a second active BWP from the INT indicator for the first active BWP.
