Abstract:
A method for determining a destination call for use by an elevator installation with a control unit and at least one destination call device includes ascertaining several destination calls and making them known to the user by the destination call device. A destination call is selected by a change in position of the user and/or a data communication is activated between the destination call device and a communications unit, which is carried by the user, within a defined range of a radio link section of the destination call device and thereupon a destination call is selected by a change in position of the communications unit inside or outside the radio link section. The selected destination call is communicated to the control unit for serving the destination call.
Abstract:
Embodiments are directed to receiving, by a computing device comprising a processor, a request for at least one service associated with an elevator system from a mobile device over a cellular network, validating the request based on a determined location of the mobile device, and causing at least one resource associated with the at least one service to be scheduled based on the validating indicating that the request is approved.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to a system and method of initiating elevator service by entering an elevator call with a call input device operating a program including a preferred landing graphical object comprising at least one floor designation graphical objects displayed on a graphic user interface, in communication with an elevator system. The method includes the steps: selecting a current floor graphical object from the preferred landing graphical object, and selecting a destination floor graphical object from the preferred landing graphical object.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed towards a method and a system for allocating elevators on the basis of advance calls. According to the invention an advance call is registered, address data is connected to the advance call, an elevator is allocated when the activation condition of the advance call is fulfilled, and information about the allocation of the elevator is sent to the passenger by sending a notification to the address indicated by the address data.
Abstract:
A method for wireless destination entry in an elevator dispatching system, the elevator dispatching system including a wireless transmitter/receiver (T/R) includes receiving a request to join a network of the T/R from a wireless device; pushing a web page from the T/R to the wireless device; receiving a service request by the T/R from the wireless device via the web page; communicating the service request from the T/R to a group controller; and dispatching an elevator car by the group controller to service the service request is provided. An elevator dispatching system and a computer program product including a computer readable storage medium contain computer code that, when executed by a computer, implements a method for wireless destination entry in an elevator dispatching system, the elevator dispatching system including a wireless transmitter/receiver, are also provided.
Abstract:
Embodiments are directed to establishing, by a hall input device associated with an elevator system, communication with a peripheral equipment, receiving, by the hall input device, sensor data from the peripheral equipment indicating a requested direction of travel in the elevator system based on the establishment of the communication, and grating access to an elevator car of the elevator system in the requested direction of travel based on the receipt of the sensor data.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and apparatus. In the method a target area is divided to a plurality of cells. A plurality of movement paths of mobile nodes are determined, each movement path comprising an origin cell and a target cell, the origin cell and the target cell being determined using a magnetic map of the target area. The durations of the plurality of movement paths are determined for an elevator user. A route topology data structure is formed using the plurality of movement paths and the durations of the plurality of movement paths, the data structure comprising for a plurality of cells an estimated time to reach an elevator location. An elevator call in a request cell is determined by a requesting mobile node. The time to reach the elevator location is determined using the data structure and information on the request cell, and an elevator car is selected to serve the elevator call based on the time to reach the elevator location, current positions of at least two elevator cars, and current directions of at the least two elevator cars.
Abstract:
An elevator security system for a building includes data relating to a floor that a user may access in the building, a device in which the data is stored, a credential containing the data in a machine readable format and created by the user, and a first machine reader reading the credential and sending data therein to the device for querying whether the user may access the floor, the device allowing access to an elevator car for transport to the floor if the credential is in sync with the data stored in the device.
Abstract:
A passenger flow management system can manage passenger flow such that elevator waiting times may be limited. The management system includes a detector configured to detect elevator passengers within a detection area located outside the building.
Abstract:
Use of an elevator system can be reserved for a passenger based at least in part on an indicated arrival time for a passenger trip. The passenger trip includes a portion that is carried out using the elevator system and an additional portion. The passenger's elevator reservation is scheduled such that time is allotted for the passenger to complete both trip portions by the indicated arrival time.
