Abstract:
Use of an elevator system can be reserved for a passenger based at least in part on an indicated arrival time for a passenger trip. The passenger trip includes a portion that is carried out using the elevator system and an additional portion. The passenger's elevator reservation is scheduled such that time is allotted for the passenger to complete both trip portions by the indicated arrival time.
Abstract:
A method and system are provided for generating automatic elevator calls for an elevator system in a building, in which is a plurality of apartments and in the apartments an apartment-specific sensor, the sensor signal produced by which detects that a person is leaving or has left an apartment. On the basis of the sensor signal, an elevator is called to the floor on which the apartment is situated for collecting the person who has left the apartment.
Abstract:
An intelligent destination elevator control system streamlines the efficiency and control of destination elevators. The system monitors a building's population and predicts elevator traffic conditions. The system may monitor attributes of the destination elevators. Based on the monitored data, the system may generate a data structure that renders time-tables and target elevator service quality parameters that may control the destination elevators.
Abstract:
In an elevator control device in which, when a verified person is authenticated as a registered person by an person authentication device, a security gate is opened to enable the movement into an elevator hall, even when a user cannot ride on an assigned car for some reason after passing through the security gate, the user is enabled to use an elevator, and convenience can be prevented from becoming poor. For this purpose, a hall destination floor registration device is provided in the elevator hall so that the user who is present in the hall registers his/her destination floor. A destination call is always registered automatically interlocking with the security gate, and when a predetermined condition is met, the destination floor registration of user made using the hall destination floor registration device is validated.
Abstract:
A group control for an elevator system, in which it is possible to assign a newly entered floor call to a car for the first time, immediately and finally, includes a computer and a comparator circuit for calculating operating costs and assigning the call to the car with the lowest cost during a comparison cycle. The operating cost includes car load values for the floors which are stored in a load table for the assigned car. Upon the assignment of a floor call, the load value for the call input floor is increased proportionally to the number of entered calls and the load values at the floors of destination are reduced proportionally to the number of calls for the respective floor of destination. These load values are used by a monitoring circuit to prevent the assignment of a call which would cause an overload condition.

Abstract:
An elevator system includes a group control device controlling a plurality of elevators as a group, a security gate mounted with a personal identification device that identifies a passing user and issues identification information, an access control device that issues validation information based on the information about the user included in the identification information, a communication device transmitting a service floor call registration request for each user to the group control device based on the validation information, an assignment controlling function that is provided on the group control device to determine the elevator assigned pursuant to the service floor call registration request for each user, and issue assigned elevator information for each user, and an assigned elevator notification device installed on the security gate to notify each user of the assigned elevator information.
Abstract:
A method of controlling an intelligent destination elevator control system streamlines the control of two or more destination elevators. Operations of a group of destination elevators are monitored to gain experience about how the population is served by the group of destination elevators that serves a building or a building zone. The analysis of measured and/or modeled data and conditions with data about traffic patterns and traffic characteristics enables the system to dynamically control the destination elevators. The system may enhance passengers' experience through efficiency and/or with an improved comfort level.
Abstract:
An elevator group supervision controlling apparatus has a response time predicting means, a passenger movement estimating means, a standby time predicting means, a candidate car selecting means, an allocating means, and an instructing means. The response time predicting means predicts response time to a car call from a remote call registering apparatus for respective cars. The passenger movement estimating means estimates passenger moving time based on a positional relationship between the remote call registering apparatus and a landing. The standby time predicting means predicts the standby times of each of the cars based on the response time and the passenger moving time. The candidate car selecting means includes cars for which standby time is shorter than a predetermined time interval in candidate cars, and excludes cars for which standby time is greater than or equal to the predetermined time interval from the candidate cars. The allocating means decides an allocated car from among the candidate cars if at least one of the cars has been included in the candidate cars. The instructing means generates an informing instruction to communicate to the remote call registering apparatus reinput requesting information that recommends an input operation at the landing call registering apparatus if all of the cars are excluded from the candidate cars.
Abstract:
A method for allocating destination calls in an elevator system, the system including at least one multi-deck elevator, where the passenger gives his/her destination floor by means of a destination call device at the beginning of the journey route, thereby defining the starting point and final point of the passenger's journey route in the elevator system. The method includes the steps of generating possible route alternatives from the starting point to the final point of the journey route, determining a cost function containing at least one travel time term, determining the value of the travel time term corresponding to each route alternative in the cost function, calculating the total cost of each route alternative by using the cost function, allocating for the passenger the route alternative that gives the minimum total cost, and guiding the passenger to a waiting lobby and/or elevator consistent with the route alternative allocated.
