    Abstract: A seatbelt retractor includes a rotation transfer mechanism configured to transfer rotation of an adjustment gear to a sensor housing to swing the sensor housing in the front-back direction of a vehicle. The turning axis of the adjustment gear and the swing axis of the sensor housing intersect each other at a predetermined angle with the swing axis of the sensor housing arranged in a horizontal direction with respect to the left-right direction of the vehicle. An inertial element support surface of the sensor housing is kept horizontal by swing motion of the sensor housing in the front-back direction of the vehicle, even if a seat back is tilted in the front-back direction of the vehicle.

The drive arrangement (1) incorporates a DC-DC converter (8) and a motor driver circuit (14). The motor driver circuit (14) is connected to a motor (18) in a motorised seat belt retractor. The drive arrangement (1) drives the motor (18) in the event of a crash situation. If the connection between the drive arrangement (1) and the primary power source (5) is lost then the drive arrangement (1) draws power from the auxiliary power source (7) to drive the motor (18). The auxiliary power source (7) can also assist the primary power source (5) by limiting the current drawn from the primary power source (5).

    Abstract: A method of folding a knee airbag includes folding a lower portion of the knee airbag perpendicularly to a vertical central axis so that a lower end of the knee airbag is placed on the front panel of the knee airbag, individually folding both sides of the knee airbag toward the vertical central axis, and rolling an upper end portion of the knee airbag toward the lower portion of the knee airbag.
