    Abstract: Disclosed herein are antifouling compositions and uses of antifouling compositions for controlling microbial fouling in a system in contact with an aqueous medium. The antifouling compositions comprising an antifouling compound of Formula 1 wherein A is an optionally substituted phenyl, naphthalene, indole, purine, pyridine, quinoline, isoquinoline, pyrimidine, pyrrole, furan, thiophene, imidazole, or thiazole; and Z has the following structure: wherein X is —O—, —N(R10)—, —OC(O)—, —C(O)O—, —N(R10)C(O)—, —C(O)N(R10)—, —OC(O)O—, —OC(O)N(R10)—, —N(R10)C(O)O—, or —N(R10)C(O)N(R10)—; p is an integer from 0 to 10; R6 is hydrogen, alkyl, or aryl; R7 is alkyl, aryl, or —(CH2)z-O—R11; R8 and R9 are independently hydrogen, alkyl or aryl; R10 is hydrogen or alkyl; R11 is hydrogen or alkyl; m is independently an integer from 2 to 20; n is independently an integer from 3 to 20; and z is an integer from 1 to 10, wherein at least one of R8 and R9 are other than hydrogen and wherein the antifouling composition reduces biofilm growth in a system comprising an aqueous medium.

    Abstract: A spray dispenser is provided, the spray dispenser comprising a container for holding a liquid to be dispensed and a dispensing assembly for extracting liquid from said container, the dispensing assembly comprising a pressure-relief valve for release of excessive pressure in the container and a filter arranged to permit egress of gas through the filter, inhibit egress of liquid from the container and to inhibit ingress of contaminants into the container through the pressure relief valve.     Abstract: An antimicrobial lighting system is used to reduce microbial growth on surfaces in or on air conditioning and/or heating equipment. In some examples, antimicrobial light within one or more antimicrobial wavelength ranges is applied to inactivate one or more microorganisms on target surface(s) within or on a packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC). The antimicrobial light may include light within a first antimicrobial wavelength range and/or light within a second antimicrobial wavelength range. The antimicrobial lighting system may include an array of individually controllable antimicrobial light segments. An array controller may individually control activation of the one or more antimicrobial light segments based on the status information or commands received from a PTAC controller or from an external computing device.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a an aqueous composition for removing soils from a surface to be cleaned, formed from water, a detergent mixture and a rinse aid, wherein the detergent mixture comprises a peroxidation catalyst and wherein the rinse aid comprises an oxygen source. Such a composition may provide a more effective cleaning behaviour. The present invention further relates to a method for removing soil from a surface to be cleaned comprising applying to the surface to be cleaned a composition according to the invention.
