Abstract:
The present invention provides a computer-implemented method, tool, and program product for scheduling an IT migration. Specifically, under the present invention, migration information for the IT migration is received in an electronic database. A schedule to perform the IT migration is the generated based on the migration information using an IT migration tool. Thereafter, messages such as email messages that contain the schedule are generated and sent to corresponding device owners using the IT migration tool. In addition, purchase orders for components needed for the IT migration based on the migration information can be generated using the IT migration tool.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method, system, and computer program product for conditional rule-based billing with real-time error checking and for on-demand segmented labor recovery and reporting. A method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: providing a record in a database for a device to be serviced; providing a record in the database for a customer associated with the device to be serviced; updating the record of the device in response to a servicing of the device, wherein the record for the serviced device is updated to reflect: materials and labor required for the servicing of the device; an indication of a completion of the servicing; and a completion date of the servicing; determining if all of a predetermined set of conditions required for proper billing have been met, upon completion of the servicing of the device; and billing for the servicing of the device only if all of the predetermined set of conditions have been met.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method and system for mounting a current transformer in proximity to a circuit breaker of an electrical system. Generally, a plurality of current transformers (CTs) are provided to measure a plurality of branches from a main power supply and are accumulated on a sensor module. In at least one embodiment, the sensor module includes a molded polymer mounting support that can support the CTs. The polymer molded mounting support departs from the standard circuit board and is substantially less fragile. A wiring channel is provided within the sensor module so that CT output wiring can be safely routed to the output connector using as few as two soldered connections, rather than the typical six soldered connections required in existing branch monitoring systems. Multiple sensor modules can be stacked to allow continued alignment with the CTs and software/firmware/hardware can allow for any current polarity changes.
Abstract:
A method of processing seismic data comprises transforming seismic data which contain coherent noise to a domain in which at least some of the coherent noise is transformed to incoherent noise. The seismic data are then filtered in the new domain, to remove or attenuate the incoherent noise. If desired, the filtered data may subsequently be transformed back to the domain in which the data were acquired. The filtering process may be carried out using a multichannel interference canceller. A seismic data trace to be filtered is input to the principal channel of the interference canceller, and one or more other seismic data traces are input to the interference canceller as reference traces. Use of seismic data traces as the reference trace(s) avoids the need to determine a noise reference trace.
Abstract:
The present invention includes methods, systems, and apparatus for measuring a pulse rate. One aspect includes a method for measuring a pulse rate of an individual. The method can include providing at least one sensor adapted to monitor a pulse associated with a user, and further adapted to monitor motion associated with the user. Furthermore, the method can include detecting a pulse associated with a user with the at least one sensor, and detecting motion associated with a user with the at least one sensor. In addition, the method can include generating a signal based at least on the detected pulse associated with the user, and modifying the signal based at least on the motion associated with the user. Moreover, the method can include determining a pulse rate associated with the user based at least on the modified signal.
Abstract:
The generation of an activity display for displaying history data for one or more migration values is provided. A history record that includes various modification attributes is generated each time the migration value is modified and stored as history data. One or more stored history records can be obtained from the history data and displayed to the user. When multiple history records are to be displayed, they can be categorized in a hierarchical structure based some of the modification attributes to enable a user to selectively display and navigate the history records.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus is provided for acoustic ranging by application of linear period modulated sound. In one aspect of the instant invention, an apparatus is provided for acoustic ranging by application of linear period modulated sound. The apparatus includes at least one source adapted to generate at least one modulated Doppler invariant signal and at least one receiver deployed along a seismic sensing cable, wherein the receiver is adapted to receive at least one modulated Doppler invariant signal from the at least one source. The apparatus further includes a signal processing unit adapted to determine the propagation time delay between the source and the receiver using the modulated Doppler invariant signal and the received Doppler invariant signal.
Abstract:
A cover for use on an elongated member includes a strip having a helical configuration, an inner surface and an outer surface. At least a portion of the outer surface includes informational indicia, while the inner surface is adapted to grip the elongated member. The strip has sufficient rigidity such that the strip maintains the helical configuration when the strip is in a freestanding configuration. A method of installing the cover on the elongated member is also provided, along with a method of making one embodiment of the cover. In another aspect, a cover for use on an elongated member includes a longitudinally extending, resilient channel having a tab portion adapted to engage the elongated member. In another aspect, the cover includes a channel and a secondary panel.
Abstract:
A method for performing business control task notification is proposed. The method comprises processing a combination of one or more databases and one or more user profiles to generate a schedule template and receive a request for a schedule. A computer program product compares attributes of the request for the schedule to a user profile and a schedule template to identify one or more events of the schedule template to be accessed from one or more of a plurality of distributed databases and forms a query to be sent to the one or more distributed databases. The query is sent to a particular database among the plurality of distributed databases. The computer program product receives a positive response to the query, indicating that the particular database contains a first event for the schedule, and the event. In response to receiving the event, the schedule is created. The schedule is stored. One or more current events in the schedule requiring a notification are identified, and the notification is sent to a destination.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus, comprising a tunable filter with a plurality of bond wires connecting voltage tunable dielectric capacitors to an RF ground and serving as inductors, wherein inductive coupling between the plurality of bond wires serve as coupling between resonators within the tunable filter. The voltage tunable dielectric capacitors may be integrated onto a single MgO chip thereby providing a complete set of tunable capacitors for a filter circuit in a low cost, compact package.
