    Abstract: The base station may transmit a mode switch indication to a UE to switch from a first duplex mode to a second duplex mode. The UE may activate or deactivate one or more antenna panels and the UE and the base station may communicate with each other based on the mode switch indication. The second duplex mode may be FD mode, and the mode switch indication may be transmitted a threshold number of symbols or slots prior to the FD symbols. The slot format pattern may not include FD symbol, and the base station and the UE may communicate bidirectional signals in FD mode using the flexible symbols. The second duplex mode may be HD mode. The slot format pattern may include the FD symbols, and the base station and the UE may transmit or receive signals in HD mode using the FD symbols as the flexible symbols.

    Abstract: A UE may receive, from a base station, a configuration for a plurality of parameter sets that each include one or more parameters for a RACH message and are each associated with one of TDM, FDM, or SDM. The UE may determine a transmission type of the RACH message corresponding to one or more of the TDM, the FDM, or the SDM and transmit the RACH message to the base station based on at least one parameter set and the determined transmission type of the RACH message. In aspects, the configuration received by the UE may be a configuration for transmitting the RACH message based on a RACH determination protocol. The UE may transmit the RACH message to the base station based on the received configuration associated with the RACH determination protocol and the determined at least one transmission type of the RACH message.

    Abstract: A UE may receive, from a base station/TRP, a configuration for a beam pair including an UL beam and a DL beam and transmit a RACH message via the UL beam while receiving DL information via the DL beam. The UE and/or the base station/TRP may be configured to operate in a FD mode. In aspects, the UE may transmit a RACH preamble based on a first mode of transmission. After a threshold time delay measured from the transmission of the RACH preamble, the UE may retransmit the RACH preamble based on a second mode of transmission. The second mode of transmission may be a same mode of transmission or a different mode of transmission from the first mode of transmission. Each mode of transmission may be based on one or more of TDM, FDM, or SDM.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for indicating an overlap of downlink transmissions with one or more random access channel occasions (ROs). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving signaling from a base station (BS) including an indication of whether one or more ROs will overlap with downlink transmissions in one or more periods of time, transmitting, to the BS based on the indication, a random access channel (RACH) preamble in an RO of the one or more ROs during the one or more periods of time, and performing a RACH procedure with the BS based on the transmitted RACH preamble.

A first wireless node may transmit, to a control node, an indication of a capability of the first wireless node to perform one or more self-interference cancelation (SIC) procedures between a first antenna array of the first wireless node and a second antenna array of the first wireless node. The first wireless node may receive, from the control node in response to the indication of the capability, a configuration for the first wireless node to use to perform a SIC procedure of the one or more SIC procedures for full-duplex communications. The first wireless node may then communicate, according to the received configuration, with the control node, a control node, or any combination thereof, using the first antenna array and the second antenna array.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) or a base station may be configured to indicate that a transmission occasion is empty while operating in a full-duplex mode. In some examples, the UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication that an uplink transmission occasion (for example, a configured grant transmission occasion) will not be used by the UE for transmitting an uplink communication. In some other examples, the base station may transmit, to the UE, an indication a downlink transmission occasion (for example, semi-persistent scheduling transmission occasion) will not be used by the base station for transmitting a downlink communication. If uplink or downlink transmission occasions are empty, the UE and the base station may each update parameters to operate in a half-duplex mode.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving signalling activating common beam transmission configuration indication (TCI) states, where each of the common beam TCI states indicates a plurality of beams including a plurality of downlink beams, a plurality of uplink beams, or at least one downlink beam and at least one uplink beam. The method also includes identifying one or more default beams among the common beam TCI states and communicating via the one or more default beams.
