Abstract: A window cornice assembly is disclosed. The window cornice assembly may comprise a front section and two side sections upon which fabric may be arranged. Corner pieces may be mounted on the front and side sections. Fabric may be arranged and secured on the front and/or side sections by clips that retain the fabric taut and over the front face thereof. The clips can be attached to each other directly by an elastic cord or band, or attached to the rear face of the front section directly so that the fabric is tightly pulled over the front face of the front section. The elastic cord or band imparts a desired amount of elasticity to the fabric. The window cornice assembly may have one or more elongated channel-shaped support strips arranged on a front section to provide additional rigidity thereto.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing stiffness to the upper end of an elongated section of drapery fabric which selectably allows the drapery fabric to be readily foldable when stiffness is not needed. The apparatus also connects the drapery to an overhead, traverse supporting rail, such as by an arrangement of hooks and eyelets or rotatable pendants. The apparatus includes an insert member made of a flexible, relatively stiff material which may be one continuous strip or a series of segments. The apparatus also includes member mountable to the drapery that is made of flexible, readily-foldable material. The insert member and the mounting member are configured so that the insert member may be engaged with the mounting member. When the insert member is engaged with the mounting member, the insert member and mounting member are not readily foldable and provide stiffness to support the drapery fabric between pendants. When the insert member is disengaged from the mounting member, the entire drapery fabric, including the upper end of the drapery fabric to which the mounting member is attached is uniformly foldable.

Abstract: A loop that is used on a shower curtain. The loop is permanently attached to the curtain on one side, preferably by stitching. The other end of the loop fastens to the curtain with hook and loop fasteners, which facilitate the removal of the curtain and loops from a shower curtain rod. Abstract: A curtain hanging system is disclosed which comprises an I-shaped slide member, the second end of which is portioned to slide within the interior space of a curtain rod, the first end which slides beyond the curtain rod and a middle brace which connects the two. The curtain hanging I-shaped slide is manufactured from a rigid material, such as plastic, lightweight metal or composite. The first end of the I-shaped slide has one portion of a two portion, self-adhering material affixed to it. A curtain hanging kit can be provided with a length of lightweight material with a plurality of the second portion of a self-adhering material on one side. A pressure sensitive adhesive is placed along the other side of the lightweight fabric with a releasable backing material placed over the adhesive. The kit additionally provides a plurality of I-shaped slides, trapezoid-shaped slide members are provided which are used to open and close the curtains.

Abstract: A cornice box assembly (10) for forming a cornice box (66) of a desired shape that hangs on a wall (74) is provided.
