Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of treating cancer in a human and to pharmaceutical combinations useful in such treatment. In particular, the method relates to a cancer treatment method that includes administering N-{3-[5-(2-Amino-4-pyrimidinyl)-2-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-1,3-thiazol-4-yl]-2-fluorophenyl}-2,6-difluorobenzenesulfonamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and N-{(1S)-2-amino-1-[(3-fluorophenyl)methyl]ethyl}-5-chloro-4-(4-chloro-1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)-2-thiophenecarboxamide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a human in need thereof.
Abstract:
A paperboard and a cardboard comprising at least one nonwoven web layer are provided. The nonwoven web layer comprises a plurality of first fibers, a plurality of second fibers, and a binder. The first fibers comprise a water non-dispersible synthetic polymer and have a different configuration and/or composition than the second fibers. The first fibers have a length of less than 25 millimeters and a minimum transverse dimension of less than 5 microns. The nonwoven web layer comprises at least 1 weight percent of the first fibers, at least 10 weight percent of the second fibers, and at least 1 weight percent of the binder. The paperboard and cardboard can incorporate a large amount of post consumer recycled fibers and still exhibit high strength and durability. Also disclosed is a process for producing the first fibers and the multicomponent fibers from which they are derived.
Abstract:
A high efficiency filter comprising at least one nonwoven web layer is provided. The nonwoven web layer comprises at least 15 weight percent of the first fibers, at least 10 weight percent of the second fibers, and at least 1 weight percent of the binder. The high efficiency filter has a filtration efficiency of 85% (DIN EN 1822) or higher. Also disclosed is a process for producing the first fibers and the multicomponent fibers from which they are derived.

Abstract:
This invention relates to a process for the preparation of plastic material for use in optical lenses comprising the steps of: a) synthesizing lead acrylate by adding lead monoxide to NaoH, which is stirred to obtain a homogenous mixture, b) adding an inhibitor to such a monomer mixture; c) adding acrylic acid drop wise to such a monomer mixture so as to avoid the formation of by products, d) heating the mixture of step (c) to a temperature of 35 to 45° C. till a white precipitate of lead acrylate is obtained, e) filtering, washing and drying the precipitate, f) subjecting lead acrylate to the step of polymerization by stepwise heating.
Abstract:
In one example embodiment, a system and method is provided that includes establishing a plurality of Pseudo Wire (PW) connections between a first network appliance region and a second network appliance region to transmit data from the first network appliance region to the second network appliance region along an active PW. Further, the method includes disabling the active PW when a failure of the active PW is detected. Additionally, the method may include selecting an inactive PW to become a new active PW such that the data may be transmitted from the first network appliance region to the second network appliance region. Moreover, the method includes switching from the active PW to the new active PW.
Abstract:
An amplifier includes a first pair of transistors (the first pair) that defines a first output, each transistor of the first pair having a gate coupled to a first input terminal; a second pair of transistors (the second pair) that defines a second output, each transistor of the second pair having a gate coupled to a second input terminal; a first capacitor coupled to the second output terminal and to the gate of a first transistor of the first pair; a second capacitor coupled to the second output terminal and to the gate of a second transistor of the first pair; a third capacitor coupled to the first output terminal and to the gate of a third transistor of the second pair; and a fourth capacitor coupled to the first output terminal and to the gate of a fourth transistor of the second pair.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a computer implemented process for detecting multi-view multi-pose objects. The process comprises training of a classifier for each intra-class exemplar, training of a strong classifier and combining the individual exemplar-based classifiers with a single objective function. This function is optimized using the two nested AdaBoost loops. The first loop is the outer loop that selects discriminative candidate exemplars. The second loop, the inner loop selects the discriminative candidate features on the selected exemplars to compute all weak classifiers for a specific position such as a view/pose. Then all the computed weak classifiers are automatically combined into a final classifier (strong classifier) which is the object to be detected.
