Abstract:
An encoding/decoding apparatus generates data sequences with first and second interleave structures by respectively performing data on a data sequence to be encoded, interleaving processes based on different first and second data interleaving schemes, generates sequences of first and second error correcting codes respectively corresponding to the data sequences with the first and second interleave structures, and generates an encoded data sequence which has the generated sequences of first and second error correcting codes affixed to the data sequence to be encoded. The encoding/decoding apparatus decodes a data sequence to be decoded, included in the encoded data sequence, by using the data interleaving processes and the sequences of first and second error correcting codes.
Abstract:
An ink supplying roller (17) is disposed in a rotary cylindrical drum (16), and is moved so that the ink supplying roller (17) can be brought into contact with an inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical circumferential wall (15). The ink supplying roller (17) is placed at a contact position with an ink permeable portion (15a) of the circumferential wall (15). The rotary cylindrical drum (16) is rotated in a state in which a stencil sheet (M) is not wound around the rotary cylindrical drum (16). Therefore, ink (50) drawn out through the ink permeable portion to the outer peripheral surface of the circumferential wall (15) because the stencil sheet (M) is peeled off at the stencil discharging operation is pulled into the ink permeable portion of the circumferential wall (15) by negative pressure produced by the ink supplying roller (17) coming in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the circumferential wall (15) and is removed.
Abstract:
A multi-phase hybrid type stepping motor includes a rotor which is rotatably mounted on a rotary shaft. A rotor magnet is mounted to an axial center of the rotor and two rotor caps are mounted to both sides of the rotor magnet respectively. Each of said rotor caps has a plurality of rotor teeth of predetermined pitch disposed about a perimeter thereof. A stator encircles said rotor cap and includes a first plurality of magnetic poles and a second plurality of magnetic poles alternately disposed between said first plurality of magnetic poles. The first plurality of magnetic poles includes a first predetermined number of teeth disposed on an inward end thereof while the second plurality of magnetic poles has a second predetermined number of teeth disposed on an inward end thereof. The first and second predetermined number of teeth have the same pitch as the rotor teeth. Each of said second plurality of magnetic poles includes a second predetermined number of teeth greater than said first predetermined number of teeth.
Abstract:
A method for fabricating a semiconductor device using an etching stopper film without increasing a number of steps of photoetching and without degrading the device characteristics. A MOS capacitor having a small coefficient of voltage is formed by forming a thick oxide film which is different from a gate oxide film of a MOS transistor to be formed on the same substrate and by implanting impurity of an amount which will not destroy insulation right under the oxide film. At this time, the electrode of the MOS capacitor is formed by the same layer with that of the gate electrode of the MOS transistor to equalize the height of both the electrodes.
Abstract:
In a hybrid type stepping motor, variation in the torque is reduced to as low as possible, the torque stiffness is improved, and the resonant vibration during the rotating movement is minimized. Each fixed magnetic pole has two or more of small teeth arranged at intervals of the same pitch as of the teeth of a rotor. The total number of the small teeth of a stator segment of an asymmetrical form is determined by NS=5x(n0+n1), where n0 is the number of the small teeth on each of five of the ten fixed magnetic poles and n1 is the number of the small teeth on each of the remaining five fixed magnetic poles. The fixed magnetic poles with the n1 small teeth are arranged alternately with the fixed magnetic poles with the n0 small teeth. The n1 small teeth poles and the n0 small teeth poles are disposed opposite to each other about the axis of a rotary shaft. The relation between the total number of the teeth of the rotor and the total number of the small teeth of the stator segment is expressed by NS.gtoreq.0.8NR (NS being greater than or equal to 0.8NR). A difference between NR and NS is calculated from NR-NS=K(S0-S1)+10(S1-1+B) where K is an integer from 2 to 5, S0 and S1 are smallest possible integers or may be equal, and B is a fraction of 1 so that 10B is always an integer. Ten windings on their respective fixed magnetic poles are energized by a power supplying means to produce desired numbers of N and S poles. The full step angle is equal to an electric angle 90.degree.=aH=360.degree./10NR and thus, the half step angle is an electric angle 45.degree.=aH=360.degree./20NR. In action, the magnetization of the fixed magnetic poles at each step produces N and S poles of the same number. Also, one or more pairs of adjacent magnetic poles are polarized to S at each step.
Abstract:
A packed battery includes a frame composed of a pair of substantially I-shaped frame members molded of synthetic resin and joined together to hold therein a power generating elements composed of a plurality of series-connected cells, and an end cap molded of synthetic resin and joined with the frame to close an open end of the frame. One of the frame members has in its one end face a pair of apertures through which a pair of external terminals is inserted for connection to positive and negative terminal end faces of the power generating element. With this construction, the packed battery has a high capacity per unit volume and the external terminals and the positive and negative terminal end faces can be welded easily and efficiently. Accordingly, the packed battery can be manufactured at a high rate of production.
