The clock generation circuitry includes a first flip flop receiving as input a device clock and being triggered by an input clock and a second flip flop receiving, as input, output from the first flip flop and being triggered by the input clock. A first inverter receives output from the first flip flop as input and a second inverter receives output from the second flip flop as input. A first AND gate receives, as input, output from the second flip flop and the first inverter, and generates a first clock as output. A second AND gate receives, as input, output from the first flip flop and the second inverter, and generates a second clock as output.

Abstract: The half-bridges driving a multiphase motor are controlled to perform a sequence of operations to support charging a hold capacitor. First, in a brake configuration, the half-bridge transistors are controlled such that either high-side transistors or low-side transistors of the half-bridges are turned on. Second, in an active step-up configuration, the half-bridge transistors are controlled such that the high-side transistor of a first half-bridge and the low-side transistor of a second half-bridge are both turned on and the low-side transistor of the first half-bridge and the high-side transistor of the second half-bridge are both turned off. Third, in an active brake configuration, the half-bridge transistors are controlled such that the low-side transistor of the first half-bridge and the high-side transistor of the second half-bridge are both turned on and the high-side transistor of the first half-bridge and the low-side transistor of the second half-bridge stage are both turned off.

Abstract: A touch screen controller includes input circuitry receiving touch data from a touch screen, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry determines first coordinates of a touch at a first time, based upon the received touch data. A first threshold window is set about the first coordinates, with the first threshold window having a central point at the first coordinates, and a second threshold window is set about the first coordinates, with the second threshold window having a central point at the first coordinates and being larger than the first threshold window. Second coordinates of the touch are determined at a second time, based upon the received touch data, and where the second coordinates are not within the first threshold window but are within the second threshold window, the second coordinates are corrected based upon a distance between the second coordinates and the central point of the second threshold window.

Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing two devices in communication with each other. When communication between the two devices is to be established, a synchronization process may be invoked. In an embodiment, a first device may initiate sending synchronization signals having rising edge and falling edge pairs. The second device may include a controller configured to receive the synchronization signals. However, noise may inhibit the ability of the controller to correctly receive and/or interpret the synchronization signals. Noise may cause detection components to falsely detect noise as a synchronization signal or may cause detection components to miss detection of an actual synchronization signal. A window generator may be used to generate comparison windows for the controller to detect synchronization signals. Further, the detection window duration and start times may be adjusted based on previously detected (or undetected) synchronization signals in order to compensate for noise overshadowing synchronization signals.

Abstract: A method of compensated touch data values disclosed herein includes acquiring touch data values about a dead sensing zone of a touch screen, and determining a peak value of those touch data values. Then, a new peak value is calculated as a function of an average of the peak value and another value of the touch data value, and a sharpness value for the dead sensing zone is generated if a second highest value of the touch data values is less than the new peak value. Thereafter, compensated touch data values are generated for the dead sensing zone if the second highest value is greater than the new peak value.

Abstract: An integrated circuit is provided having an active circuit. A heating element is adjacent to the active circuit and configured to heat the active circuit. A temperature sensor is also adjacent to the active circuit and configured to measure a temperature of the active circuit. A temperature controller is coupled to the active circuit and configured to receive a temperature signal from the temperature sensor. The temperature controller operates the heating element to heat the active circuit to maintain the temperature of the active circuit in a selected temperature range.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a touch screen controller. The touch screen controller is configured to asynchronously measure a capacitance between a sense line and a drive line of a sensing layer with respect to a horizontal sync signal of a display layer. In addition, the touch screen controller is also configured to disconnect from the sense line for a given period of time following a rising edge of the horizontal sync signal so as to reduce capacitive coupling of display noise from the horizontal sync signal to the sensing layer.

Abstract: A touch screen controller is for a drive line emitting a periodic signal and capacitively intersecting sense lines. A selection circuit, for each of a number of portions of the periodic signal equal to a number of the sense lines, couples a first subset of the sense lines to a first output path, and couples a second subset of the sense lines to a second output path, the second subset being sense lines not included in the first subset. Processing circuitry, for each portion of the periodic signal, measures a capacitance of the first output path, measures a capacitance of the second output path, and sums the capacitance of the first output path and the capacitance of the second output path. The processing circuitry determines a capacitance between each sense line of the first and second subsets and the drive line as a function of the sums.

Abstract: A capacitive sensing system includes a capacitive sensing panel with drive lines and sense lines. Each drive line includes a drive circuit. A code generator operates to generate modulation codes. A drive controller generates drive signals wherein each drive signal is modulated by one of the modulation codes. The generated drive signals are applied to the drive lines through the drive circuits. The drive controller operates to simultaneously generate the drive signals for application to a corresponding group of drive lines during a drive period. Separate groups of drive lines are sequentially driven with the same drive signals during drive periods that only partially overlap.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide tone mapping of images and video from one dynamic range to an available dynamic range of a display device while preserving or enhancing image details. According to one embodiment, an enhanced tone mapping module is configured to decrease a luminance of an image or video from a high dynamic range to a standard dynamic range. Conversely, according to one embodiment, an enhanced inverse tone mapper to increase a luminance of an image or video from a standard dynamic range to a high dynamic range.
