摘要: A navigation system includes a computer readable storage medium having a sequence of instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by a processor, causes the processor to acquire a plurality of parameters of a train comprising parameters measured after the train has begun a journey. The train includes a plurality of vehicles providing tractive effort and a consist coupled to the plurality of vehicles. The sequence of instructions also causes the processor to calculate the tractive effort of less than all of the plurality of vehicles based on the acquired plurality of parameters.

摘要: A method and apparatus for power control of the re-transmission data packet in a wireless communication system is disclosed. A first wireless communication device is provided that receives (210) a data packet from a second wireless communication device and determines (220) if the data packet is correctly decoded. If the data packet is not correctly decoded, the first wireless communication device calculates (230) a first re-transmission power required for correctly decoding the data packet based on a signal to noise ratio (Eb/No) versus frame error rate (FER) relationship. And further calculates a power difference (240) between the calculated re-transmission power and the power of the received data packet and transmits the power difference (250) to the second wireless communication device. The second wireless communication device calculates (340) a second re-transmission power based on the received power difference and re-transmits (350) the data packet at the calculated re-transmission power.

摘要: Techniques that enable a user or customer at a system site to review and, if desired, modify data identified at the system site for transmission to a diagnosis site prior to the transmission. The identified diagnostic data may be modified such that data that the user does not want to be sent to the diagnosis site (e.g., sensitive data) is excluded from the data communicated to the diagnosis site. The data may be modified by removing or excluding the sensitive data from the data that is communicated to the diagnosis site or replacing the sensitive data with non-sensitive data. The modified data may then be communicated from the system site to the diagnosis site in the form of a package.

摘要: Techniques for non-intrusive performance of diagnostic actions including actions that result in gathering of diagnostic data in response to a condition detected in a monitored system. In one embodiment, the diagnostic actions are performed asynchronously by processes or threads that are different from the failing process or thread that receives or detects the condition that triggers the diagnostic actions such that the failing process or thread can continue processing without being affected by the executions of the diagnostic actions. Multiple asynchronous processes or threads that are different from the failing process or thread may be spawned to perform multiple diagnostic actions in parallel. The asynchronous processes or threads may be monitored to ensure that they do not adversely impact the monitored system.

摘要: Method, apparatus and computer-readable code are provided for detecting a location of an incipient ground fault in an electrical propulsion system. The apparatus may include a sensor configured to sense a respective ground leakage signal associated with a ground of the propulsion system. The apparatus may further include a compensator coupled to the sensor to combine the ground leakage signal and a compensation signal to generate a compensated ground leakage signal. A correlator is coupled to the compensator to receive the compensated ground leakage signal, and is further coupled to receive at least one signal indicative of a respective energization state of a respective electrical phase for each respective one of the plurality of electrical devices. The correlator is configured to individually correlate the compensated ground leakage signal with each received phase energization state signal, and supply an individual correlation signal between the compensated ground leakage signal and each received phase energization state signal. At least one characteristic of the compensation signal is configured to reduce effects expected in the ground leakage signal when a predetermined rate of change of voltage occurs. A processor is coupled to the correlator for processing each of the individual correlation signals supplied by the correlator and extracting a correlation value from the supplied correlation signals. The correlation value may be indicative of an incipient ground fault, if any, in a respective phase of one of the plurality of electrical devices.
