Abstract:
A method of guiding a user to a suitable parking spot is a method used to aid a user in finding a suitable parking spot near a desired location. The method uses at least one remote server and a mobile computing device. The remote server manages information related to potential parking spots, and performs calculations to determine if a potential parking spot is a suitable parking spot. The mobile computing device monitors the location of the user and allows the user to interact with the method. A parking search request is sent from the mobile computing device to the remote server. Upon receiving the parking search request, the geospatial vehicle detection system is used to locate potential parking spots. At least one filtering process is used to identify suitable parking spots from the potential parking spots, before the suitable parking spots are displayed to the user.

Systems and methods for routing activity information related to objects in an external application to activity feeds associated with users in a collaboration group are disclosed. When activity information is received, it is routed to collaboration group feeds and user feeds based on a set of routing tables. The routing tables associated objects with events, containers, collaboration groups, and finally users. Based on the routing tables, users who belong to a collaboration groups that are associated with a particular object may see the activity information about that object rendered in an activity feed if the external application grants them permission to access the object. Accordingly, security associated with the object in the external application can be maintained when event information about that object is shared in an activity feed in a collaboration system.

The subject invention includes methods and apparatus for joining treads. Such methods include the step of providing a first tread portion and a second tread portion for forming a joined tread, each tread portion comprising a section of tire tread extending lengthwise from a terminal end. Additional steps include providing a first fixture configured to retain the first tread portion and a second fixture configured to retain the second tread portion and securing the first tread portion into the first fixture and securing the second tread portion into the second fixture, each of the first and second fixtures being arranged within the first and second fixtures such that the terminal end of each tread portion is in communication with a joining side of each fixture. The methods further include directing the terminal ends towards each other and into forceful engagement with an elastomeric joining material arranged between the terminal ends.

There is provided a pair of tongs for grasping items comprising a pair of gripping ends, having a silicone and/or plastic exterior surface, where a first of the pair of gripping ends further comprises a set of metal teeth projecting toward the second of the pair of gripping ends. Each of the first and second of the pair of gripping ends may comprises a body core at least partially covered by a (silicone) coating. In one embodiment, teeth are embedded within a plastic core. In another, the core comprises a metal frame from which the teeth project. The set of teeth may be spaced from a periphery of the gripping end. The second of the pair of gripping ends may also comprise metal teeth projecting toward the first of the pair of gripping ends.

The present matter provides an improved grating surface and graters having an improved grating surface. The grating surface includes one or more cutting blades extending outwardly from the grating surface each including a cutting edge, and at least one groove located on the grating surface and extending towards the cutting edge of the at least one cutting blade. The at least one groove can be located on the cutting blade surface and extend towards and into the cutting edge. The at least one grove can be formed by chemical etching techniques (e.g. in a grating surface of metal such as stainless steel). Grooves and cutting blades can be simultaneously formed in a grating surface by chemical etching.

Methods and systems for registering a remittance customer to facilitate international funds transfers are described. In an embodiment a first financial institution computer in a first country receives the name, residence address and a mobile telephone number of a remittance customer from a first mobile network operator (MNO), and also receives image data that corresponds to documentation verifying the remittance customer's identity and residence address. A new payment card account number is generated for the remittance customer and is stored along with the image data and first mobile telephone number. The remittance customer's mobile telephone number and new payment card account number is then transmitted to a translation server of a payment system used for transferring funds internationally.

A point-of-license data collection and indexing system comprises a form database, a business database, a data entry tool, a rules database, a data association engine, and a reporting tool. The data entry tool is configured to commence a data entry session and to receive data required to complete a business licensing form and non-license business data during the same session. The business database is configured to store the entered business data. The data association engine is configured to consult the rules engine and to determine associations between items of data stored in the business database to facilitate searching of the business database using a search engine. The reporting tool is configured generate reports based on the business database, to make the license business data accessible to a government, and to make the non-license business data accessible to the public using a search engine.
Abstract:
A GFCI device which has reverse wiring protection is provided where no power is present at the face terminals even when the device is reverse wired. The device has a pair of movable bridges connected to its terminals. The terminal bridge pair makes contact with the load and face terminals providing power to these terminals when the device is reset. The device also has a reset lockout feature that prevents it from being reset after having been tripped if the circuit interrupting portion of the device is non-operational.
