摘要: The invention includes, in various embodiments, a method for archiving an electronic message which includes the steps of scanning the electronic message to determine whether at least a portion of the message is encumbered, disencumbering the encumbered portion of the message if it is encumbered, storing a copy of the disencumbered electronic message, and transmitting the electronic message to a recipient. Once stored, the disencumbered message can be accessed and reviewed by a supervisor, for example, without having to request a password from the sender or recipient. Encumbered messages include messages, or portions of messages, which are password protected, encrypted, and/or otherwise structured to prohibit unauthorized access thereto.

摘要: A superabrasive fracture resistant compact is formed by depositing successive layers of ceramic throughout the network of open pores in a thermally stable self-bonded polycrystalline diamond or cubic boron nitride preform. The void volume in the preform is from approximately 2 to 10 percent of the volume of the preform, and the average pore size is below approximately 3000 nanometers. The preform is evacuated and infiltrated under at least about 1500 pounds per square inch pressure with a liquid pre-ceramic polymerizable precursor. The precursor is infiltrated into the preform at or below the boiling point of the precursor. The precursor is polymerized into a solid phase material. The excess is removed from the outside of the preform, and the polymer is pyrolized to form a ceramic. The process is repeated at least once more so as to achieve upwards of 90 percent filling of the original void volume. When the remaining void volume drops below about 1 percent the physical properties of the compact, such as fracture resistance, improve substantially. Multiple infiltration cycles result in the deposition of sufficient ceramic to reduce the void volume to below 0.5 percent. The fracture resistance of the compacts in which the pores are lined with formed in situ ceramic is generally at least one and one-half times that of the starting preforms.

摘要: The invention relates to the encapsulation of Geldhart class C substrate powders with a coating of metal, binder, or sintering aid. Encapsulation is achieved using chemical vapor deposition techniques in a recirculating fast-fluidized or turbulent fluidization flow bed reactor. Thin, smooth, generally uniform, fully encapsulating coatings are produced on the fine substrate particles. The coated Geldhart class C particles, and products made therefrom, exhibit excellent improved physical properties.

摘要: An apparatus and process for transporting and discharging biohazardous materials is disclosed. A vial is provided having an interior for receiving biohazardous contents. The vial is sealed at one end by a frangible tip for forming an opening in the vial upon breaking of the frangible tip. The vial includes a cap at the opposite end of the vial for sealing the vial when a biohazardous sample contained in a porous absorbent member is placed interior of the vial. A centrifuge tube is provided with an upper opening having a dimension to be plugged when the vial is placed into the centrifuge tube. The centrifuge tube has flexible sidewalls to permit digital manipulation of the frangible tip of the vial by the sidewalls of the centrifuge tube. The vial is placed within the centrifuge tube to plug the tube. Once the vial is within the tube, the tube is digitally manipulated to break the frangible tip of the vial by compressing sidewalls of the centrifuge tube to break the frangible tip of the vial interior of the centrifuge tube. Thereafter, centrifuging the centrifuge tube and vial with broken frangible tip occurs. This causes the biohazardous material to discharge from the porous absorbent member and vial into the centrifuge tube for further processing.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method includes retrieving a playlist for a video stream of video content for a client. The playlist is for portions of video content for the video stream. A traffic shaping service determines a set of rules for the playlist for a set of portions in the plurality of portions where each rule is associated with a network condition. For each rule, the method performs: dynamically allocating a port and setting a network condition to apply to the port according to the rule. During playback of the video content, the traffic shaping service receives a request for a portion from the client and determines a port associated with the request for the portion. The method then sends a traffic shaped portion through the determined port where the network condition is applied to the traffic shaped portion based on the network condition being set on the port.

摘要: A method for creating and executing a computer workflow using a graphical user interface. A plurality of executable components is defined wherein the executable components are based on an input, an output, metadata and a sub-interpreter. Each of the executable components represents a computer-implemented computational process that is performed on one or more inputs to the executable component and that generates one or more outputs based on a predefined computational algorithm. A graphical user interface is defined that allows a user to visually create the computer workflow on a user display by selecting from a library of said executable components. The user graphically connects one or more input terminals of selected executable components with one or more output terminals of second selected executable components. For each selected executable component, the one or more input terminals graphically correspond to the one or more inputs to the predefined computational algorithm associated with the executable component. The one or more output terminals graphically correspond to the one or more outputs generated by the predefined computational algorithm associated with the executable component.

摘要: The present invention is a metallic composite which is resistant to erosion and corrosion at the high temperatures and pressures which are encountered in gun tubes, including projectile launchers. This composite comprises a ductile layer of rhenium or a rhenium alloy containing more than 20 percent rhenium, and a layer of a lower cost high strength material such as steel, nickel, nickel alloy, cobalt, or cobalt alloy. A solid solution of the two metals is formed between the two layers making a metallurgical bond. The metallurgical bond may be enhanced through the use of a bond promoter having solubility with both metallic layers.
