Abstract: An apparatus for conditioning an aqueous liquid includes at least one inlet, at least one liquid treatment device for the treatment of liquid by ion exchange including a cation exchange material of which at least a portion is in the hydrogen form, a membrane filtration device and a section arranged to process filtrate produced by the membrane filtration device. This section includes a liquid treatment device for dissolving at least one mineral contributing to carbonate hardness in water into at least some of the liquid passing through the section. At least one of the at least one inlets is connected to an inlet of the membrane filtration device via at least one of the at least one liquid treatment devices for the treatment of liquid by ion exchange.

Abstract: A method for controlling a temperature of a liquid in a liquid container filled with at least a first predetermined amount of the liquid using a heating device. The temperature of the liquid in the liquid container is measured and controlled by adjusting the heat output of the heating device. If the liquid container is filled with less than the first predetermined amount of liquid until the liquid container is filled with a second predetermined amount of the liquid, wherein the second predetermined amount of the liquid is equal to or greater than the first predetermined amount of the liquid, cool liquid is fed into the liquid container from a liquid reservoir, the heating device is permanently activated, and the temperature of the liquid in the partially filled liquid container is controlled.

Abstract: A method for operating a water dispenser, the water dispenser having a water supply, a carbon dioxide supply, an outlet for pouring water into a container placed below the outlet, a controller and a user interface, the method including the following steps, which are executed in response to an activation of the water dispenser via the user interface: determining a nominal value of a water volume (V) that is to be filled into the container determining a nominal value of a waiting period (WP) by means of the controller determining nominal values of a first partial volume (V1) and a second partial volume (V2) by means of the controller (V1+V2=V), in particular by determining a volume ratio (R) with R=V1/V for dividing the water volume (V) into the partial volumes (V1, V2) pouring the first partial volume (V1) through the outlet waiting through the waiting period (WP) pouring the second partial volume (V2) through the outlet.

Abstract: A method of operating a water tap, in particular a hot water tap, including a dispensing step in which water is dispensed from the water tap. Initiation of the dispensing step requires several preceding steps, including an actuation of a first actuating element and an actuation of a second actuating element. Within an actuation step, the actuation of a first actuating element is detected by a control unit. The actuation step also includes an unlocking step, in which, upon detection of the actuation of the first actuating element, an unlocking time window is started by the control unit. The actuation step also includes an activating step in which the actuation of the second actuating element activates a dispensing switch. The dispensing step is only initiated in case that the activating step is triggered within the unlocking time window.
