Abstract:
An air-puff type intraocular pressure measuring device includes an optical measuring unit and a puffing unit. The optical measuring unit includes an imaging optical path having a perforated lens and an image sensor capable of receiving an eyeball image via the perforated lens for eyeball alignment; a measuring optical path having a measuring element for transmitting a measuring signal and receiving a reflected signal via the perforated lens to derive an intraocular pressure value; and a beam splitter for the image sensor and the measuring element to respectively form a first and a second path having different axial directions. The puffing unit is connected to the optical measuring unit for puffing air through the perforated lens against an eyeball. The puffing unit has a puffing path located coaxially on the second path of the measuring optical path, so that measuring errors caused by parts-related tolerances are effectively reduced.
Abstract:
A portable fundus observation apparatus includes a body, at least one optical detecting module, and a data processing unit. The body includes a fixing part for fixing the body onto the ocular region of a subject. The optical detecting module includes a light source, an optical lens module, and an image capturing unit. The optical detecting module is separably fixed onto the body. The data processing unit electrically couples with the optical detecting module and processes the fundus image captured by the image capturing unit.
Abstract:
An optical blood glucose detecting apparatus and an operating method thereof are disclosed. The optical blood glucose detecting apparatus includes a detecting module, an assisting and strengthening module, and a data processing module. The detecting module provides an incident optical signal passing through a detected portion of skin surface into a skin interstitial fluid, captures a blood glucose optical reflection message of the skin interstitial fluid, and it interferes the blood glucose optical reflection message and the incident optical signal to generate a detected data. The assisting and strengthening module provides a physical or chemical effect on a tissue region under the detected portion to strengthen the blood glucose optical reflection message. The data processing module processes the detected data to determine a blood glucose concentration.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a substrate, a processor, and a cooling mechanism. The processor is disposed on the substrate. The cooling mechanism includes a conductive medium, a cooling plate and a protrusion. The conductive medium contacts the processor. The cooling plate contacts the conduction medium. The protrusion protruding from the cooling plate connects the substrate to define and maintain a distance between the substrate and the cooling plate. Thus, the contact between the processor, the conductive medium, and the cooling plate are tightly maintained.
Abstract:
An optical disc drive including a triggering switch and a control unit is disclosed. The triggering unit outputs a triggering signal while it is forced. The control unit, which is electrically coupled with a disc-ejection motor and the triggering switch, receives the triggering signal, and outputs a disc-ejection motor control signal when an optical disc rotates in the optical disc drive. The disc-ejection motor outputs a force opposite to the applied force while receiving the disc-ejection motor control signal so that the tray is restrained in the optical disc drive.
Abstract:
A simplified and cost-effective three-axis positioning device and method for ophthalmic examination instrument is disclosed. The three-axis positioning device includes an illuminating optical path for projecting light to illuminate an examinee's fundus; an imaging optical path including an objective lens for receiving the examinee's fundus image and light reflected from the examinee's cornea and eye-lens; a software-based alignment module for determining intensity and position of the reflected light on the fundus image to generate auxiliary positioning information; and an image displaying unit for showing the fundus image, the reflected light, and the auxiliary positioning information. From the intensity and position of the reflected light, x-, y- and z-axis relative positions between the examinee's pupil and the objective lens are obtained. An examiner adjusts the relative positions in three axes until they fall within an allowable deviation range, and a clear fundus image can be obtained.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for recording a datum onto a pixel on a light-sensitive sheet. The main component of the system is a recording unit, which further includes a light-emitting device and at least one light-guiding device. Once the light-emitting device emits a light, the light enters the light-guiding device from an entrance and is transmitted out from an exit. Before the datum is recorded, the recording unit is moved so as to align the exit of the light-guiding device with the pixel. Thereby, the light transmitted out from the exit of the light-guiding device is further projected onto the pixel to record the datum on the pixel.
