摘要: A height adjustable jack piling assembly has a piling with a top and a bottom. A hinge axis is disposed on the top and a bearing plate is disposed at the bottom. A height adjustment mechanism extends upwardly from the bearing plate and through the piling to raise the piling, and the corresponding hinge axis, by operating the height adjustment mechanism from the top. The method includes placing a jack piling assembly and second lower piling, each having a hinge axis, into the earth and operating the height adjustment mechanism of the jack piling assembly to align the hinge axes.

摘要: A fire escape system for providing an apparatus for escape from building structures. The fire escape system includes a container having an open front, a back wall, and a door hingedly attached to the container and closeable over the open front, and further includes a motor, a switch member connected to the motor, a battery connected to the switch member, a rotatable first shaft journaled inside the container and driven by the motor, a pair of elongate flexible members carried by the rotatable first shaft, a plurality of rungs having a plurality of stand-off members at the ends thereof and being securely attached to the elongate flexible members with the stand-off members being moveably received in tracks. As a second embodiment, a winch which includes a motor carries a flexible line which is carried about two pulleys and is connected to a lift member which is operated by remote control. As a third embodiment, a spool member carries a flexible line which is carried about two pulleys and is connected to a pair of elongate flexible members which support a plurality of rungs.

A representative system includes: an excitation unit having dual loop antennae, with a first loop and a second loop, the two loops located in and parallel to the same plane, and adjacent to one another, and a control box for exciting said antennae, the control box arranged to drive the currents of the two loops, such that the phase difference between the currents of said two loops alternates with time between 0° and 180°, and wherein the amplitude of the currents for each loop is of a first level when the phase difference is 180° and wherein said amplitude is of a second level, lower than the first level, when the phase difference is 0°.

摘要: A runtime architecture for web services utilizes a container driver to accept an invoke request for web services, such as from a protocol adapter. The container driver performs any necessary data binding and unbinding required to process the invoke request and associated message context, utilizing an appropriate plugin component. An interceptor receives the context information from the container driver and modifies the message context for web service compatibility. An invocation handler receives the formatted context information from the container driver and passes parameters from the message context to the target of the request. The invocation handler processes values returned from the target and passes these values to the container driver. The container driver can then formulate a response to the invoke request, and return the response and message context to the client or protocol adapter.

摘要: A winch hook holding device includes a body having a proximal end connected to an elongated handle and a distal portion including a hook-shaped curved cradle for at least temporarily holding a winch hook. The cradle features a curved recess corresponding to the back surface of the hook and an opening corresponding to the opening of the hook, enabling the hook to be supported in the cradle and brought to the eyelet and released from the cradle once engaged. An alternative embodiment further includes a biasing element such as a spring-loaded lever disposed within a portion of the groove for applying pressure to the hook for active retainment therein. The connector at the proximal end of the handle preferably includes a threaded connector that mates with an elongated handle having a threaded end, thereby allowing handles available for other purposes to be utilized. Custom handles may also be provided according to the invention, including telescoping varieties. Preferably the hook-holding body is a unitary piece of molded plastic.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system that will permit the automatic measurement of the efficiencies of a delivery process from end to end. This system uses Radio Frequency based transponders and reader infrastructure to capture data as objects that contain RF transponders pass process points. In particular this invention permits the capture of delivery data automatically at the final end point. This invention is applicable in delivery applications such as those performed by post offices.
