    Abstract: An intelligent parcel locker and methods for forming a package container in the parcel locker are provided. The parcel locker includes multiple front plates connected by multiple actuatable linking pins, a first single vane rotary actuator to dispense linked first side plates, a second single vane rotary actuator to dispense linked second side plates, a third single vane rotary actuator to dispense linked top plates, and a fourth single vane rotary actuator to dispense linked bottom plates. The parcel locker further includes a computing device connected to the multiple rotary actuators and the actuatable linking pins, receives a request to form the package container of a size to hold a package, generates command signals to actuate the rotary actuators to form the package container, and actuates the actuatable linking pins to form a front door of the package container.

    Abstract: In some aspects, an electronic lock box may include a heated section, a cooled section, a non-temperature controlled section, and a processor. The processor may receive, from a server, an indication of an electronic order. The processor may identify a code associated with an item. The processor may determine, from the code, a tracking number associated with the item and the description of the item. The processor may determine that the tracking number associated with the item corresponds to a tracking number associated with the electronic order and that a current date corresponds to an expected delivery date. The processor may provide an instruction to unlock the heated section, the cooled section, or the non-temperature controlled section to hold the item based on the description of the item. The processor may maintain an environmental status of sensors (e.g., weight, volume, temperature, operations, and/or location) within the electronic lock box.

    Abstract: A system for securing packages has a support pole secured proximate to a hinged side of a door; a frame secured to the support pole; a securing means secured to the door frame and to the door; and a package box that is secured to the frame and that receives a delivered package. The package box is defined by a front panel, a bottom panel rotatably secured to the front panel, a lid panel rotatably secured to the frame, and a first and second plurality of side members rotatably secured to the frame and the front panel. When the package box is in a folded position, the front panel, the bottom panel, and the lid panel are oriented vertically and are proximate to the frame. When the package box is opened, the front panel extends outwardly in a vertical orientation and the bottom panel rotates downwardly to a horizontal orientation.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein a depositing device for a cargo carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle. The depositing device can comprise a receptacle enclosed from above by one or more swinging ledges forming a cargo-dropping area on the outer surface thereof, wherein the receptacle is coupled to a hanging device adapted for hanging said depositing device to a balcony railing. The depositing device also comprises a transmitter designed to transmit information usable by the unmanned aerial vehicle to determine a spatial position of the cargo-dropping area. The one or more swinging ledges are designed to tilt inwardly into the receptacle in case a force exerted by a weight of the cargo imposed on the cargo-dropping area exceeds a threshold weight, for inserting said cargo into the receptacle.

    Abstract: A package shipping processing system is provided including a kiosk housing, a computer terminal with a video display, an input device such as a touch screen and/or keyboard, a data processor, and network data communications module. The package shipping processing system further includes a scale with a platform on which objects for shipment are placed and weighed, and an imaging device in communication with the computer terminal to transmit captured image data of objects for shipment. The data processor stores a fragility index which lists objects and different insulations which correspond to the listed objects. In use, shippers input the identification of an object to be shipped into the input device, and place the object on the scale for weight and dimensional determinations. The data processor analyzes the object's weight, fragility and dimensions to select a package and insulation for shipment.
