摘要： In order to transfer at a high speed a large amount of data, such as data of a moving image, an image pickup system having an image pickup apparatus is arranged to convert an object image inputted through an optical system into an electrical signal, to convert the electrical signal into a digital signal by an A/D conversion part, to obtain from the digital signal a video signal in a predetermined form by a video signal generating part, to convert a color space of the video signal by a color space converting part in such a way as to compress the video signal according to a look-up table held within the color space converting part, and to transfer the compressed video signal to an external personal computer through an interface part.

摘要： In an image pickup system, an image pickup unit is connected to a computer which has a display device. In order to make a display by matching the characteristic of the image pickup unit with that of the display device, the image pickup unit is provided with a control part which is arranged to measure a signal processing speed of the computer, to compare the signal processing speed with an image pickup speed or a picked-up image data output speed of the image pickup unit and to vary an image pickup action or a picked-up image data output action of the image pickup unit according to a result of the comparison or according to an operation performed by an operator of the image pickup system.

摘要： An electronic system comprising an image pickup unit 1, a computer 2, and communication terminals for connecting the unit and the computer, such as infrared communication ports 6, 10, a card slot 8, and serial communication terminals 5,9 wherein the necessary image data is allowed to be produced from the unit 1 and transmitted to the computer through the communication terminals. The computer communicates with the image pick up unit by examining the port of each communication means in order to recognize whether a connected unit is the image pickup unit or a foreign unit and to determine and store the communication speed for each communication port. The image data and memory space information is then automatically transmitted to the computer and displayed on a device connected to said computer.

摘要： In a processor system having a CPU, a RAM, and a communication portion for external communication, the operation of the central processing unit is stopped when an IPL operation mode is selected by an operation mode selection switch. An IPL program transferred from the outside through the communication portion is then written to the RAM starting from a predetermined address, and the stoppage of the operation of the CPU is thereafter canceled. The CPU restarting the operation executes the IPL program written to the RAM by first reading the predetermined address to download a system program. Since the IPL program is transferred from the outside, the IPL program to be used can be easily changed.
