The invention relates to a method for implementing layered construction of plastic models, whereby a first material is applied to a building platform and thereupon a second material is selectively applied and these two application steps are respectively repeated layer after layer until the desired model is obtained. The two materials form a solid body when a suitable mixture ratio is used. The first material includes a particle material and the second material is applied via a print head and contains N-vinylformamide.

The present invention relates to a method for producing three-dimensional objects based on computer-provided data, whereby a material is deposited in layers in a process chamber and the material is selectively solidified and/or bonded using a bonding apparatus and/or a solidifying apparatus in the process chamber, these steps being repeated. A conveyance of the material proceeds during the build process and proceeds continuously, sequentially and evenly up to an unpacking position.

This document describes a process and a device for applying fluids, specifically particle material, on an area to be coated, which is viewed in forward moving direction of the coater, chat fluid is applied on the area to be coated and then a levelling element is run over the applied fluid, whereby the fluid is led from a metering system provided with an opening, which oscillates when applying the fluid. The opening shall be designed in such a way that when the metering system is at a standstill this is closed by forming an angle of repose of the fluid.

According to the invention, a dropwise application is carried out, whereby drops of reaction components are ejected by a nozzle arrangement (3) and applied to a base reaction component (2), arranged on a substrate (1). The material for the three-dimensional article is formed in layers, with reaction of the base reaction component (2) with reaction components on contact, whereby the material is formed on a reaction of the base reaction component with one of the reaction components to give a material with one material property and on another reaction of the base reaction component with another of the reaction components to give a material with another material property. On production of the three-dimensional article, an article section is produced in which a gradual transition between the one material property and the other material property is generated.

Described herein is a device for pattern building in layers, which has a frame (1), a vertically movable and interchangeable workpiece platform (17), and a material feeder with a spreader (4), whereby the spreader (4) serves to feed material from a storage bin situated in the workspace above the workpiece platform (17), and the workpiece platform (17) is fixed at least when building a pattern. The workpiece platform (17) is accordingly loaded into the device from one side and unloaded from the other side of the device.

The invention relates to a device for constructing models in layers. A region for constructing models, preferably a construction platform, and a material applying device (4, 5) for applying material onto the region are provided. The material applying device (4, 5) is arranged in a movable manner over the region. The material applying device (4, 5) is designed as a portal (1, 1′) such that the material applying device can be moved over the region at least via two linear guides (2) arranged at opposite sides of the region, and the material applying device is arranged around the region such that a portal (1, 1′) is formed by at least two portions that extend laterally with respect to the region. At least one additional material applying device (4, 5) for applying an additional material onto the region is provided.
