摘要: A method for generating three dimensional indicators for the visually impaired. The method includes selecting one or more pre-designed symbols from a plurality of pre-designed symbols. The pre-designed symbols represent standard building layout features and are sized to be readable via a physical touch. The method further includes inserting the one or more selected symbols into a two dimensional digital layout, and generating one or more of an orientation object and a legend object into the two dimensional digital layout. The method further includes converting the two dimensional digital layout into a three dimensional digital model, and generating an output file including the three dimensional model in a format compatible with a three dimensional printing device.

摘要: A structure manufacturing method manufactures a structure including an expansion layer M2 by expanding the expansion layer M2 that is included in a print medium M and expands by heating. An electromagnetic wave-heat conversion material is formed on a first surface of the print medium M in density corresponding to a shape of a structure C0 to be manufactured. Here, either the material is formed in lower density than density of the material in a first part of the expansion layer M2 to be expanded to a first height H1 and density of the material in a second part of the expansion layer M2 to be expanded to a second height H2 or the material is not formed, in a boundary region A0 which is the first surface in a boundary part between the first part and the second part. The print medium M is then irradiated with electromagnetic waves.

摘要: Disclosed are compositions, such as inkjet inks or glazes, for jetting onto a ceramic substrate, and associated methods and systems. The compositions are configured to produce a blister relief effect, wherein the incorporation of inkjet technology provides precise control over the location and degree of blistering. The enhanced compositions are configured to form gas bubbles when exposed to the elevated temperatures of a firing cycle, wherein the formed gas is trapped within the glaze, causing an expansion or blistering of the glaze, which results in a raised relief.

摘要: The present invention is related to a process for manufacturing a security feature comprising a tactile pattern, said method comprising the steps of applying on a substrate a radiation-curable basecoat composition by a process selected from the group consisting of inkjet, offset, screen printing, flexo printing and rotogravure; at least partially or fully radiation-curing said radiation-curable basecoat composition so as to obtain a radiation-cured basecoat; applying on the radiation-cured basecoat obtained under step ii) a radiation-curable topcoat composition in a form of indicia by a process selected from the group consisting of screen printing, flexo printing and rotogravure; radiation-curing said radiation-curable topcoat composition so as to form a radiation-cured topcoat, wherein the radiation-curable basecoat composition and/or the radiation-curable topcoat composition comprises one or more machine readable feature substances independently selected from the group consisting of cholesteric liquid crystal pigments, luminescent compounds, infrared-absorbing compounds, magnetic compounds and mixtures thereof, and wherein the radiation-cured basecoat has a surface energy at least 15 mN/m less than the surface energy of the radiation-cured topcoat. The present invention is furthermore related to a corresponding security feature and it use for the protection of a security document against counterfeiting or fraud.

摘要: An embossing apparatus comprises an embossing die comprising a printed relief pattern, and a resilient surface for pressing media against the embossing die to emboss features corresponding to the printed relief pattern on the media, in which the printed relief pattern comprises a number of layers of a deposited material, and in which a number of layers of the deposited material closest to the top of the printed relief pattern comprises a deposited material with a relatively lower coefficient of adhesion than layers of the deposited material disposed under the deposited material closest to the top of the printed relief pattern. A printed relief pattern for embossing media comprises a number of preliminary layers, the preliminary layers comprising a first material, and a number of terminal layers, the terminal layers comprising a second material, in which the second material has a lower adhesive coefficient than the first material.
