Abstract:
A disposable injection device has a dispensing chamber housing and a plunger. The dispensing chamber housing has an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface partially defines a dispensing chamber for receiving a quantity of a substance. The plunger is engaged with the inner surface of the dispensing chamber housing, is capable of sliding in the dispensing chamber housing, and is fluidly sealed to the inner surface of the dispensing chamber housing. The plunger has a plunger interface. The plunger interface mates with a mating surface on a mechanical linkage interface such that force is transferred from the mechanical linkage interface to the plunger along a first direction towards the plunger when the plunger interface is in contact with the mating surface of the mechanical linkage interface, and force is not substantially transferred from the mechanical linkage interface to the plunger along a second direction away from the plunger.
Abstract:
The invention provides a computer system and method for trading instruments using a data communications network which allows users to selectively view market depth information for the instruments in a plurality of different styles, each style corresponding to one of the plurality of available market depth views. The user can switch back and forth between the plurality of market depth views, as many times as he likes, by using an input device to activate a control on a trading panel to select from the plurality of available views. The system includes a network interface for receiving a set of orders for the instrument from the data communications network, a display device, and a view processor configured to display on the display device a trading panel comprising a market depth grid containing sizes and rates that are derived from the set of orders received from the data communications network. The sizes and rates displayed on the market depth grid are determined by the selected market depth view.
Abstract:
A computerized automated trading system that allows users to execute money market transactions wherein the principal trading amount for a proposed money market transaction may be distributed across a plurality of different providers. Customers can make multiple money market deposits (or loans) for different amounts, and can split the total desired principal size of the desired deposit (or loan) across the plurality of providers, all from a single interactive user interface screen. Thus, the invention puts customers in a better position to obtain the best overall rate for the principal amount. The invention may also be configured to display a list of a customer's open money market trades, and allows the customer to select and roll over maturing trades. Customers can roll over single or multiple open trades for a given currency and use a different set of providers than was used for the original trades, or use a different distribution of the funds among the original set of providers. The invention provides these benefits for all types of money market transactions, including but not limited to, cash loans and deposits, certificates of deposit, treasury bills, repurchase agreements, and commercial paper transactions.
Abstract:
A computer pointing device employs memory for the storage of data allowing information to be copied from one computer to another without the need for a network or removable media such as a floppy disk. In a first aspect, the pointing device may be linked to multiple computers wherein the connection to the pointing device may be toggled from one computer to another. The connection method may be via a cabled interface or wireless interface, such as a radio frequency link. In a second aspect, the device may by physically moved from one computer to another. In a preferred embodiment, the pointing device is a universal serial bus device.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for use in a multiprocessor system (10) having a plurality of processing nodes (P0-P3) each of which includes a local data processor (22a, 28a). The apparatus includes an interface (42) to a controller (14), the interface including a register (48) for storing a function received from the controller, such as a diagnostic function. The interface further includes circuitry (50) for providing the diagnostic function as a packet to an input terminal of a bit serial communication bus (40). The communication bus is threaded through each of the plurality of processing nodes and has an output terminal that terminates at the interface. Each of the nodes includes a register (54) for receiving the packet and, responsive to information conveyed thereby, for halting the local data processor and for controlling the operation of local data processor control signal lines, data signal lines, and address signal lines so as to execute the diagnostic function, such as reading data from or writing data to a specified location. The local data processor may also be reset, rebooted, restarted from a halted condition, or interrupted.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a modular advanced technology -marksmanship proficiency (MAT-MP) system. The MAT-MP system provides marksmanship instructors with a robust and reconfigurable set of technological tools to quickly diagnose and remediate deficiencies in marksmanship skill at a live-fire range. The system diagnoses the shooter's performance using an array of sensors and an optic camera, all placed on the shooter's weapon, to continuously monitor and record his/her performance during weapon fire. Data output by the sensors and optic camera is gathered by the MAT-MP system's weapon-mounted control device and sent wirelessly to an instructor station, typically a tablet, laptop computer or the like. The MAT-MP coach software running on the instructor's computer presents a summarized analysis of the shooter's performance as well as provides the instructor the ability to view the raw sensor data graphically. The MAT-MP system can enable the instructor to more quickly identify and confirm the root cause of the shooter's poor performance instead of forcing the instructor to rely upon heuristic methods and interpretation of the fall of shot.
