Abstract:
The present patent application relates to a composition for topical application in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising an oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase, characterized in that it comprises at least one noncrosslinked amphiphilic polymer, the globules of the said emulsion exhibiting a mean size ranging from 15 to 500 microns and the oily phase being present in an amount of less than 35% by weight, with respect to the total weight of the composition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, a skin-tensioning agent and an acrylic polymer containing a group of phosphorylcholine type. The invention also relates to a cosmetic skincare process, more particularly for facial skin, in particular wrinkled skin, comprising the application of the composition to the skin.
Abstract:
Cosmetic composition for lightening or unifying the complexion The present invention relates to a composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, concave or annular particles, especially in the form of hollow sphere portions, the said particles comprising a matrix that is coloured in the bulk.
Abstract:
Expression of a messenger RNA which encodes a protein which is expressed by differentiated cells, notably the cells of the skin or appendages thereof, is inhibited by topically administering to said differentiated cells a thus effective amount of at least one double-stranded RNA oligonucleotide, formulated into a topically applicable, physiologically acceptable medium therefor; such regime or regimen is useful for treating a variety of afflictions or conditions, e.g., combating the signs of skin aging, stimulating hair growth or retarding loss thereof, inhibiting cellular proliferation and/or differentiation, etc.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for dissolving at least one compound of low solubility in water, the said process comprising the essential step of mixing the compound of low solubility with at least one lipophilic amino acid derivative. The invention also relates to a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least one compound of low solubility and at least one lipophilic amino acid derivative. Among the compounds of low solubility that are especially included are aminophenol derivatives, salicylic acid derivatives, 2-amino-4-alkylaminopyrimidine 3-oxide derivatives and DHEA, and also its chemical or metabolic derivatives and precursors.
Abstract:
A reconstructed epidermis/skin equivalent supplemented with at least one ceramide 7 and/or 5.5 compound, suited for reinforcing the barrier function of normal human epidermis and for improving the barrier function of dry skin and of reconstructed skin or skin equivalents, is prepared by introducing the at least one ceramide 7 and/or 5.5 compound into the culture medium of such reconstructed epidermis/skin equivalent and/or topically applying onto the face surface of such reconstructed epidermis/skin equivalent a composition which comprises lipid lamellar vesicles incorporating at least one ceramide 7 and/or 5.5 compound.

Topically applicable photostable sunscreen/photoprotective compositions contain at least one dibenzoylmethane UV-sunscreen and an effective photostabilizing amount therefor of at least one amphiphilic block copolymer which comprises at least one nonionic hydrophilic polymer block and at least one hydrophobic polymer block, formulated into a topically applicable, cosmetically acceptable medium therefor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to calibrated and spherical oily particles comprising at least one oily phase structured with at least one gelling polymer, characterized in that they have a mean size of less than or equal to 15 μm, in that the said structured oily phase has a melting point of greater than or equal to 40° C. and in that their circularity index is between 0.9 and 1.
Abstract:
A nanoemulsion, the oil globules of which have an average size of less than 100 nm, comprising a surfactant chosen from the alkoxylated alkenyl succinates, the alkoxylated alkenyl succinates of glucose and the alkoxylated alkenyl succinates of methylglucose, and at least one oil having a molecular weight of greater than 400, the ratio by weight of the amount of oily phase to the amount of surfactant ranging from 2 to 10. The emulsion obtained is transparent and stable on storage. It can comprise large amounts of oil while retaining good transparency and while having good cosmetic properties. It can constitute a composition for topical use, a pharmaceutical composition or an ophthalmological composition.
