The thrust frame comprises a load carrying base connected to a moveable platform by a plurality of powered extendable legs. The metrology frame comprising a metrology base attached to the load carrying base by a base attachment mechanism such as kinematic mounts. The base attachment mechanism is arranged to prevent any distortions of the load carrying base being transmitted to the metrology base.

    摘要: A seat supports an occupant of a vehicle. The seat comprises a seating frame member for providing a surface to support the occupant and a back frame member extending away from the seating frame member. The back frame member defines a U-shaped cavity. A boss is coupled to the back frame member within the U-shaped cavity. A fastening element extends through the boss and the back frame member. The fastening element deforms the boss and the back frame member when a force above a predetermined value is applied to the back frame member thereby causing the back frame member to rotate relative to the seating frame member. Allowing the back frame member to rotate relative to the seating frame member reduces an impact force transferred from the seat to the occupant caused by the force above the predetermined value.

    摘要: A bracket is used to couple together a seating frame member and a back frame member of a seat of a vehicle. The bracket comprises a periphery and a central longitudinal axis dividing the bracket into a front portion and a rear portion. The front portion of the bracket defines a yield segment for plastically deforming when a force above a predetermined value is applied to the back frame member. Plastically deforming the yield segment reduces an impact force transferred from the seat to an occupant. The periphery of the rear portion of the bracket includes a first contact surface and a second contact surface spaced from the first contact surface. The first contact surface moves into contact with the second contact surface as the yield segment plastically deforms thereby restricting the plastic deformation of the yield segment.

The seat comprises a seating frame member for providing a surface to support the occupant and a back frame member extending away from the seating frame member. The back frame member has a first side member and a second side member. A first cross member and a second cross member extend horizontally between the first and second side members. Each of the first and second cross members have a central region flanked on both sides by bent portions with the first and second cross members folded back upon themselves within the bent portions. The bent portions straighten out when a force above a predetermined value is applied to the first and second cross members. The central region plastically deforms once the bent portions straighten out for reducing an impact force transferred from the seat to the occupant.

    摘要: An electric power conservation system to be used between an AC utility power source and a load circuit in a home or business. The electric power conservation system comprises an energy charger component, a DC rechargeable energy source, an inverter unit, a bypass isolation circuit, a monitor and control unit, coil contactors and contacts, and necessary circuitry for supplying a load circuit with the power it requires. The invention reduces consumption of electric power from public utility companies, thereby decreasing the load on the national electrical grid. Where utility companies offer lower off-peak rates to consumers of electrical power, it becomes exceedingly desirable to have such a system in place, to save consumers money. During normal operations wherein normal utility power is available, the load circuit derives part of its power from the AC utility power source, and the remaining power that it requires from the electric power conservation system.
