Abstract:
An umbrella holder apparatus has a first body panel having a vertically oriented mounting tube attached centrally for an umbrella handle, a second body panel hinged by a lateral edge to the first body panel, a third body panel hinged to the first body panel, a first waist strap attached at a first end to the second body panel and at a second end to a first portion of a snap-in buckle, and a second waist strap attached at a first end to the third body panel and at a second end to a second portion of the snap-in buckle. The holder is characterized in that a user is enabled to wear the umbrella holder apparatus around the user's torso, fastening the snap-in buckle on the waist straps, to place an umbrella by a handle in the mounting tube, protecting the user from precipitation while leaving the hands free.
Abstract:
A light bulb that is with glass envelope having light transmission of a wavelength only up to 700 nm has an incandescent filament enclosed in a glass envelope that transmits substantially no detectable amount of light of a wave length greater than 700 nanometers.
Abstract:
A planar workpiece of polygonal outline, such as a metal frame for use as a spacer in thermally insulating glass is stood on its edge and transported to a manipulator which tilts the workpiece about a horizontal axis to position one of its corners in a treatment location where it can be, for instance, soldered or brazed. Thereafter the workpiece is tilted over and set on an edge and either transported away to another such treatment location or positioned with its next corner in the same treatment location. The manipulator which tilts the workpiece in an upright position can be a plate with four sides or a pair of arms pivotal between horizontal and vertical positions.
Abstract:
A gas vent valve has a valve body having a first end, a second end, and a sidewall having a generally constant inner diameter from the first end to a normal operating liquid level. A spacer is positioned within the valve body and has an aperture formed therethrough. A control float is positioned within the valve body and has an outer diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the valve body and larger than the inner diameter of the spacer. A top float is positioned within the valve body, above the control float, and has an outer diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the spacer. A side port can extend from the sidewall and be positioned below the spacer and generally adjacent the top float with the valve in the open condition.
Abstract:
The laptop computer document holder is an unobtrusive plastic sheath with two plastic telescopic arms for moving in and out of the sheath. One of the telescopic arms has a top with a document clipper for clipping the document to the top when the telescopic arms are extended. This clipper secures the document at eye level above a screen or monitor of the laptop computer. The plastic sheath has a flat face with adhesive tape affixed for permanently attaching the plastic sheath to the laptop computer. Once the document holder is attached to the laptop computer, the holder cannot be misplaced or lost. Thus, the laptop computer holder is readily available and accessible when needed to hold a document at eye level above the laptop computer.
