Abstract:
Steel frames formed of rolled steel I-beams are connected by steel framed wall panels spanned by steel studs, and covered by steel framed roof panels spanned by steel purlins, making a structural frame completely formed of steel components bolted together. All components are precut and predrilled before transport to a construction site. A crane is used to raise steel frames and steel framed roof panels into position for bolted assembly, reducing construction times to absolute minimums. Entire structure is virtually lightning-proof, wind-proof, and earthquake resistant.
Abstract:
The disclosed embodiments are directed to the printing of mixed output jobs automatically as a single integrated job. More particularly, a merging module connects two print systems, for example, at approximately 90 degrees to one another, although other configurations are possible. The merging module includes at least one sheet rotator in a plane that is common to both the paper paths of both print engines. It also includes at least two bypass paths (one above and one below the rotator) to route the two paper paths around the rotator and enable both print engines to deliver their output to the appropriate finishing device.
Abstract:
A document forming apparatus, comprising a substrate feeder for storing and dispensing substrates to a printing engine, a controller for controlling the operation of the document forming apparatus, wherein the controller includes at least one database for storing information for the operation of the substrate feeder, and a user interface for controlling the operation of the document forming apparatus. The user interface includes a stock library view, a stock settings dialog screen having an expert feeder controls section with a manual mode operator and an auto mode operator, and a control panel screen for manual mode operation. The control panel screen includes means for adjusting a plurality of feeder parameters, indicators for manual and auto modes, and a save settings operator.
Abstract:
A sensor for the measurement of physiological parameters in the blood, including at least one measuring apparatus and a digital sensor signal processor which is arranged in the sensor, and which is connected in a signal conducting manner to the measuring apparatus. The sensor may output a digital output signal, which may be transmitted to a signal evaluation device using a connection cable.
Abstract:
A light bulb that is suitable for use in conjunction with night vision equipment has an incandescent filament enclosed in a glass envelope that transmits substantially no detectable amount of light of a wave length greater than 700 nanometers.
Abstract:
A photographic lamp possessing a main and back-reflector which are located respectively behind and in front of a light source. The main reflector limits a light exit aperture which is closed by a diffuser screen. The back-reflector comprises a transparent base which is partly provided with a reflecting layer. The reflecting layer is preferably applied in the manner of a graduated filter, so that the reflecting points are more numerous in the center of the base and less frequent at its periphery. The light produced is thereby extremely even and the illumination is very even, avoiding dark areas on the diffuser screen.
Abstract:
A merging module connects two printing systems at approximately 90 degrees to one another. The merging module includes a sheet rotator in a plane that is common to the paper paths of both print engines and a buffer. It also includes two bypass paths (one above and one below the rotator) to route the two paper paths around the rotator and enable both print engines to deliver their output to the appropriate finishing device as well as to the buffer.
Abstract:
A golf car having a hydraulic disk brake system responsive to hydraulic fluid pressure generated from a master cylinder. A brake pedal and associated linkage provides input to a master cylinder to generate a hydraulic fluid pressure to control a brake caliper assembly. A flexible brake line is fluidly coupled between the brake pedal and the disk brake system for carrying the hydraulic fluid. The brake line is comprised of a flexible inner member and a braided outer member. The brake pedal has a range of travel, where a first portion of the range defines a service mode of operation and a second portion of the range defines a parking mode of operation. In the parking mode of operation, the brake pedal and linkage engages a detent to maintain application of the brake to provide a parking mode of operation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for preparing an electrochemical sensor (2) enabling the sensor head (2a) thereof to be provided with an electrolyte (3) and a membrane (4). The inventive device comprises retaining means (6) for the sensor in addition to means for depositing the electrolyte (7) and means for depositing the membrane (8).
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to a method and apparatus for temporarily reforming or deforming the lip portion of a resinous seal so that the seal may be readily installed in an intended application. The invention includes a method and apparatus that includes a fixed frame unit having two leg portions and a backbone portion, a slot in each position, an axle in each slot, and roller assemblies received over each axle, with adjustment means for each axle, the guide rollers being circumferentially spaced apart and the center or reforming roller being adjustable.
