Abstract:
[Object] To provide an airbag, an airbag apparatus, and an air-discharging method of the airbag which are able to reduce the pressure loss during inflation and deployment of the airbag, or is able to demonstrate the impact absorbing capability of the airbag apparatus efficiently depending on the physical structure of an occupant.[Solving Means] The airbag apparatus of the present invention includes a gas generator 1 configured to generate gas under predetermined conditions, an airbag 2 connected to the gas generator 1 and configured to be inflated and deployed, and a retainer 3 configured to store the airbag 2, and the airbag 2 includes a protrusion 4 which forms a portion protruding outward partly on the airbag 2, a vent hole 5 formed on the protrusion 4, a strap 6 connected at one end to the protrusion 4 and at the other end to the interior of the airbag 2, and an insertion hole 7 configured to guide the other end of the strap 6 into the interior of the airbag 2, and the vent hole 5 is arranged in an area where the protrusion 4 and the airbag 2 are overlapped with each other when the protrusion 4 is pulled by the strap 6.
Abstract:
An airbag and airbag apparatus in which a venthole is closed or opened by a small amount until an occupant hits the airbag, and the venthole is opened or opened by a large amount when the occupant hits the airbag. Inner panels 22A and 22B are provided inside of an airbag 10. Ventholes 18 and 18A allowing an inside and an outside of the airbag 10 to communicate with each other are provided in a rear panel 14. A lid member 60 for covering the venthole is provided on an outer surface side of the rear panel 14. The venthole 18A is a constantly-open type venthole that is not covered by means of the lid member 60. A tether 70 couples the lid member 60 with the inner panels 22A and 22B through the constantly-open type venthole 18A.
Abstract:
A method for extrusion molding a medical tube from a soft thermoplastic resin. The method requires the use of a mold that provides flow paths sandwiching the axial portion. The mold comprises a mold body, a pin, and a land portion. The extrusion method involves three processes.
Abstract:
A knee-bag to be inflated in front of an occupant leg includes a first member facing the occupant, a second member facing the first member, and a tether provided in the knee-bag for connecting the first member and the second member. The tether extends in a lateral direction and has end portions in a thickness direction of the knee-bag, and lateral ends in the lateral direction. At least one of the lateral ends has a portion located inwardly in the lateral direction so that air-flow spaces are formed between a left end of the tether and a left side of the knee-bag and between a right end of the tether and a right side of the knee-bag.
Abstract:
A leg-protection device is disposed under a steering column for protecting a vehicle occupant. The leg-protection device includes an airbag to be inflated upwardly along a bottom surface of a steering-column cover and a projecting member provided at the airbag and projecting from a front end portion of the airbag in a inflating direction when the airbag is inflated.
Abstract:
At least two EOR circuits for carry-out which output carry-out bits and the complementary signals thereof are provided in the 5-3 compressor circuits constituted by an EOR circuit group, and dual lanes are employed at least for carry-out. As a result, the number of inverters required can be reduced, increases in delay time can be suppressed, and fast addition operation can be achieved.
Abstract:
To speed up the inflation of a second chamber of an airbag that is portioned into a first chamber including an inflator and the second chamber enclosing the first chamber and to facilitate the design of adjusting the shape and thickness of the inflated airbag, an airbag and airbag system are disclosed. In one form, the airbag includes therein first and second inner panels to partition the interior of the airbag into a first chamber and a second chamber that encloses the first chamber. The second inner panel has communication holes for communicating the first chamber and the second chamber with each other. The outer peripheries of the inner panels are joined together with a seam. A jet of gas emitted from gas ports of the inflator is supplied directly into the second chamber through the communication holes.
Abstract:
A knee-bag module includes a knee-bag to be inflated in front of a leg portion of a vehicle occupant and an inflator for ejecting gas from a gas outlet thereof to inflate the knee-bag. The inflator is a pyro-type inflator for ejecting only reactant gas.
Abstract:
A medical suturing tool 10 is composed of an insertion puncture needle 13 having an insertion hole 13a, a retrieval puncture needle 14 disposed in parallel with the insertion puncture needle 13, a lock part 15, and a surgical suture 16. A vertically elongated opening 18 is formed on the side surface of the insertion puncture needle 13, and an engaging groove 19 including a wide upper portion 19a and a narrow lower portion 19b on the side surface of the retrieval puncture needle 14 at a position slightly lower than the portion opposing to the vertically elongated opening 18. The lock part 15 is composed of a spherical portion 15a which can pass through a wide upper portion 18a and cannot pass through a narrow lower portion 18b and a rod-shaped portion 15b which can pass through the narrow lower portion 18b.
Abstract:
An air bag with a control device that provides for the adjustment of a predetermined inner air bag pressure. The air bag control device is comprised of a sheet having an opening located over a vent hole penetrating an air bag rear panel and joined to the edge of the vent hole. A first half and a second half of the sheet are joined together with a joiner, thereby closing the vent hole. This joiner is configured to release when the inner pressure of the -air bag attains or exceeds a predetermined value. When the predetermined inner pressure is attained, the tear seam breaks and the vent hole is opened.
